The quality you expect from Briggs&Riley By Tereeza from Maryland, USA on 03/09/2010 Pros: Comfortable Strap, Good Protection, Rugged Best Uses: Commuting, Travel Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We thought the handle on the sleeve would be handy for taking the computer in and out of the carry-on luggage when going through airport security.
You Can Feel the Quality! By Guanolulu from Honlulu on 02/21/2010 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, High Quality Best Uses: Business Travel Carry On Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: High-quality messenger bag that also doubles as a traveling briefcase. Can accommodate a laptop if necessary, but perfect for papers, folders, other briefcase items without overstuffing. Lighter color makes it easier to find things deep in the bag. Could be a tad bigger; overpackers might want to look elsewhere. For those who want to breeze through airports w/minimal fuss, however, this is a GREAT companion -- especially at STP pricing!
A sleeve not a carrying case By Nooge from Kansas City on 02/15/2010 Cons: Insufficient Padding Describe Yourself: High-End Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This a sleeve to go inside another case
As it says it is designed for speed going thru security but it also eliminated a zipper and in my view it traded speed for being secure

Great briefcase at a great price By Professor from Massachusetts on 02/07/2010 Pros: A man's briefcase, Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Lightweight, Quality Construction, Rugged and understated, Secure Design, Well Organized Inside Best Uses: Daily Commuting, Important Documents, Staying Organized, Traveling Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've always stuck my stuff in an old backpack but needed something a little classier for occasional travel. This briefcase is well organized, durable, really well made but low key in styling.

Great Bag; Gimmicky Expansion By Packer from Honolulu on 01/15/2010 Pros: Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Longer trips 2 wks or mo Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was VERY impressed w/my B&R expandable carry-on, so had high expectations for this piece. Quality's there & it's light considering the large size (preferred smaller size, but STP price was too good to pass up).
"One touch expansion" is gimmicky; it's simply 2 internal locking mechanisms that a) take up space, and 2) don't allow "compression" once it's packed (my technique is to zip bag closed with gussets expanded, then zip up the gussets for a snug, compressed piece of luggage. "No can do" with this system).
Nice hangup bag stows within; should eliminate need for separate one. Just hope it all doesn't go over airline weight limits, the limiting factor for bags this size.
Despite all the above, I'm keeping it and would recommend it at STP pricing. Plus B&R claims they'll fix anything, anytime, regardless of cause or fault.
By joe from boston on 01/12/2010 Pros: Attractive Design, Quality Construction Best Uses: Daily Commuting Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: zipper gets stuck, but otherwise quality bag
Good design. Leather of fair quality By Bing from Palo Alto, CA on 12/28/2009 Pros: Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Quality Construction, Well Organized Inside Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The design is very good. LOTS of pockets! Lots of space after expansion. The quality of the leather is just OK: thin and doesn't look like top grain.
By Astrid from Las Vegas on 12/20/2009 Pros: Adequate Capacity, Attractive Design, Great shoulder strap, Lightweight, 'manly' without bulky, Quality Construction, Secure Design, Super soft material, Well Organized Inside Best Uses: Daily Commuting, Important Documents, Staying Organized Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this as a Christmas present for my husband. He doesn't know yet but he will absolutely love it. It is a great 'guys bag' with all the roomy interior women like and super soft leather exterior. Not too large, not too small, just perfectly right!
