By Over the hill from Dayton OH on 06/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These replace some almost worn-out Tecnica boots. I figured that the size and fit would be true to the old ones; and it is.
The tongue is strongly convexly curved and it was a bit uncomfortable at the second eyelet from the top location. I solved that by not crossing the laces at that point but went straight up. That may loosen up.
So far several 3-mile break-in hikes over varied terrain. Totally comfortable after adjusting the lacing.
Laces are a bit too long. I may want to trim them so the bow is not so big that it catches on something.

They seem well made and are comfortable to walk in. the heel could be a little tigher fit to prevent blisters. All in all they are a nice shoe.

Wish they came in wide widths By Madre de Peanut from Anderson, SC on 06/19/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable Cons: Stiff, Toe cage too narrow Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was excited about the fit and comfort of the boot - on one foot. The toe box was just a little too narrow for normal daily variations in foot size on the other foot. Sorry they don't come in wide sizes. I would definitely wear them!
