Timbuk2

Timbuk2

Maybe it’s the company’s working-class roots that have givenTimbuk2 such a steadfast following among real-life people. It all started in San Francisco back in 1989 with one bicycle messenger, a sewing machine, and some ideas about how a messenger bag ought to be constructed. The original Timbuk2 bag was quickly embraced by urban couriers and is now a favorite of laptop-toting professionals as well. Timbuk2 bags come in all shapes and sizes designed to carry files, cameras, travel gear and more. Their dependable construction, indestructible materials and sometimes quirky styles appeal to urbanites, students and career professionals looking for stylish alternatives to daypacks and briefcases. Timbuk2 bags are built so well, they’re been known to outlive jobs, personal relationships, even pets.

I use this for daily bike/bus commuting to and from work. I really like it, wish it had a handle on the top like the metro bag does. I will most likely buy another larger one to give me flexibility regarding load.

This is the a great Purse for Plane/commuting Travel. It holds a large amount of items. I would only wish for a zippered pocket on the back for secure but quick access to Passport and ID. Just some of the items I have stuffed mine with: H2O bottle, snacks, electronics, passport, paperwork, gloves, hat scarf, compass, wallet, makeup, note pad, pen, kindall, sunglasses, book, keys, socks, eye shades, hand lotion, camera, candy. I love the sound of the velcro. To Noisy for Pic-Pockets.

I keep trying bag solutions that will work with my MacBook, when I want to take it with me, but work equally well (and look good) when I don't need to tote my laptop around. This bag fits the bill. Also, I love that it stands up on it's own -- the structure is great.

Timbuk2 Datadump Daypack

Pros:
Good padding, Large capacity
Cons:
Bulky
Best Uses:
Overnighttrip pack

Minimalist
Bottom Line:

Comments:
I was looking for a pack to use everyday for books, diapers, laptop etc. as I work, travel, and go to school with my 9 month old. This pack was way too big and combersome for daily use. I am returning it and found a normal size bag elsewhere...disappointing as I had hoped to find a Timbuk2 bag that worked for me.

Timbuk2 Bike Seat Pack - Small

Smaller than expected but handy
By JSEAVerified Reviewer from Columbia, MD on 06/29/2009
Pros:
Secure Straps
Best Uses:
Road Riding
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This pack was smaller than expected but functional. It can fit my tire patch kit, bike tool, a granola bar and my cell phone, which is mostly what I need for shorter rides. Would not have the capacity for much more than that so less suitable for longer rides.

Comments:
At first I thought it was too small but after using for a day or two the bag seemed to expand (worked out the compressed creases?). From other descriptions I thought there would be more inner pockets. One of the pen pockets is so small I can't squeeze in a pen. Overall I'm pleased with the bag and give it four stars. The low price is great!
