By Michael Michael Motorcycle from Nashville, TN on 09/23/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, High Quality Describe Yourself: Career, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been using this bag for the past couple weeks and love it. I bought it for the sole purpose of carrying a netbook to and from work on my motorcycle. I don't yet have the netbook but was impressed that my older 15" laptop actually fit in the main compartment, although it did crowd the pockets somewhat. Without the laptop it will hold a pair of shoes and more. Mine is black but you can still see the reflections and it is nice to have a bag that rests on the back seat of the motorcycle instead of on my back like a backpack. Wearing a backpack was very uncomfortable in the heat, especially considering the motorcycle gear. I did get the exterior a little wet in the rain and it was no problem, but the main compartment is not at all sealed from the elements (large holes on either side of the main flap ) so you will want to wrap your electronics that are not in the waterproof pockets. I'm expecting to toss the netbook in a big zip-loc bag. I predict the Timbuk2 will function well even in a monsoon so long as you take this limitation into consideration.

By Blague from Tarzana, CA on 09/22/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have other Timbuk2 products, and they're consistently well designed, of good quality and durable.
They used to pride themselves in making all their bags in San Francisco, but that's no longer the case. It seems that they can't deliver the same quality for the same price if they made them here. Still, they seem to be made to their usual demanding standards.
I commute on a motorcycle and carry a laptop daily, and this bag fits the bill. It has good padding for the laptop and for my back, the strap (with its padding) is comfortable and easy to adjust, and all the pockets and compartments are well thought out.
The color scheme of this particular model looks kind of dinky in the web page and, as a matter of fact, I almost didn't order it. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got it, because it looks less gaudy than expected in person.
By Bob from Fort Worth, TX on 09/21/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This item was purchased as a backpack replacement for an elementary school student. It is perfect for this purpose. We have not had it long enough to know if quality issues (zippers, seams, etc) will surface. It appears to be high quality.
By Kathi from AZ on 09/20/2009 Pros: Durability, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Beach, Family Trips, Long Vacations Describe Yourself: Budget shopper, Classic, Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I received a Timbuk2 quality tote bag at a great price- who could ask for more? It is a bigger bag than I normally carry but I was looking for something that would hold all my travel items for a trip to NYC and it worked beautifully. It held all my paperwork, NYC book, umbrella, make-up, light sweater, wallet, sunglasses case, brush, etc., etc.! It comes with a detachable strap so you can carry it over your shoulder or cross-body. The material is rugged and durable and there are several dividers (a couple with zippers and one with velcro) that keep everything in its place. Truly a great bag.
By BettyW from Boston MA on 09/18/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Describe Yourself: Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This was a replacement for another messenger bag, used for carrying paperwork and misc. items to/from work. I like that it's lighter than my previous bag, has water bottle pockets on the ends, has several compartments and various pockets inside. I wish it had an outside zipped pocket on the flap, though the rear laptop pocket is accessible for stuffing in items when I don't want to undo the flap to get inside. The removable padding on the shoulder strap needs some sort of non-slip material - it is made of the same fabric as the bag, which is slippery on most jackets I have (leather, rain jacket, etc)

good looking computer bag for us women! By Beth on the coast from Delaware on 09/16/2009 Pros: Attractive, Easy Access, Good Strap Length, Great Color, High Quality Cons: Not Enough Compartments Best Uses: Everyday, Office, Traveling Describe Yourself: Career, Modern, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the best looking, and lightweight, computer bag I've had. I am really enjoying using it. My only "complaint" is that it really can't function as a purse/computer bag for me as it doesn't have enough purse-like features. Outside pocket seems like outside pocket of any computer bag. Still, I prefer it over anything I've had.
