By lovethewoods from Pullman, WA on 08/12/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a fine watch for running and other sport use. However, the band is very thick and uncomfortable on the underside for everyday, casual use. I prefer an all-purpose sport watch.
By DS from Hawaii on 08/11/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Can read the face without glasses!
By cooks from audubon, PA on 07/31/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Best Uses: Everyday, Great for workouts Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: the only thing is that i wish that you could turn the ipod off from the watch, and fast forwarding through a song would be nice, but otherwise this is perfect
By Austin Cyclist from Austin, TX on 07/31/2008 Pros: Fashionable, Good Quality, Reliable Cons: Band adjustability limit Best Uses: Accessory, Everyday Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A fantastic and unique looking Ironman watch from Timex. If you have a very small wrist, the band may not adjust to a small enough size; otherwise, easy to read large number display, great looks, and very comfortable.
By Dan from Fort Wayne, IN on 07/28/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Stylish Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautiful watch but the metal part of the band cuts into the wrist skin. I get a reddened, abraded area if I wear it for more than 10 hours.
By fishkid from boston, ma on 07/24/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: wear it everyday at a fish hatchery, wet and rugged. the closure on the band is a bit funny, a cross between a hair barrette and one of those high class gold watches that have the Z that tucks under itself. doesn't bother me, but if you're finicky about the tail of your watch sticking out, maybe not for you.
Durable, intuitive, stiff band By Marathon Swim from ocean city, nj on 07/23/2008 Pros: Good Quality, Reliable, Stylish Cons: Band is stiff, Clasp may not hold up Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Timex makes the best functioning and most intuitively programmed watches for athletic use. Use this for swimming in the ocean and hoped that the titanium band would hold up better than the rubber. Will wait and see how the clasp holds up.
Great watch, needs a little tweaking By Training for Shopping... always from San Jose, CA on 07/22/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Neutral Color, Reliable Best Uses: Accessory, Everyday, Sports, Water sports Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I'm a new runner and love the Timex Ironman series of watches, but was having a hard time finding one that is "feminine" enough and "dressy" enough to wear daily. Not that black or pink plastic is bad, just not dressy enough to wear daily. This watch in Bone is wonderful! Titanium face with off white and beige accents. The side buttons are a little more difficult to use, but I like the fact that the buttons themselves are not labeled - my old watches, the labels wore off almost immediately from repeated use. I shower with this watch on and sleep with it sometimes (old habit from before I got my eyes "fixed" with Lasix).
The face nearly covers my small, 6.5" wrist - but I like the look.
My only complaint is that the easily adjustable band slips. The 2" of excess band slides out from underneath - a little annoying.
All in all, an excellent buy. I would recommend this to my friends (actually, I was thinking of buying them for Christmas gifts)
Durable, fun, practical watch from Timex By Training for Shopping... always from San Jose, CA on 07/22/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Fun, Good Quality, Reliable, Works with newest 3G Nano Cons: Large face for a woman Best Uses: Everyday, RunningExercise, Sports Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical, Techie Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This is a fun watch! I bought several colors and found out that contrary to their website and user's manual, it DOES work with the newest Nanos - I still have to check and see if it works with the latest Classic iPods (but I don't have one, so it's not that easy to check). It has a nice large display that is a little too big for my small (6.5") wrists, but having an iPod control on your wrist rather than on your arm while running, is a definite plus.
Someone should tell Timex to make the watches in colors to match the iPods - now that would be a fashion statement :) The Fluorescent Green somewhat matches the green 2G Nano. The Safety Orange is just funky fun. Then, of course, you have standard black and grey.
