Fuctional and comfortable By PAWSitively Pampered One from Warwick, NY on 07/05/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy To Access Items, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality, Outdoorsy and Prof, Soft material Cons: Carries better on left, Needs more compartments Best Uses: School bag, Travel and Everyday, Weekend Trips, WORK Describe Yourself: Career, Comfort-Oriented, On a tight schedule, Outdoor Professional, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this every day. I own a pet care business where I require paperwork, folders, a planner, spare clothes and "traveling office" items. I love that I can quickly put things in and I can always find what I'm looking for. There are smaller pockets for the little things that get lost the large compartment. The fabric is great - it's soft feeling yet very durable. If you have an "outdoor" profession like mine, this bag is great!
The one thing I'm not so trilled about is that it carries more comfortably on the left shoulder than the right. Since the bag is going from house to car to house to car to house, I'm not walking around with it a lot, so I don't know how annoying that could be. HOWEVER, for the moving around that I do while carrying it, I love it. It's a great bag.
Nice looking-- very heavy By KapShopATL from Atlanta on 07/01/2009 Pros: Easy To Identify, High Quality Cons: Heavy To Begin With, Small Capacity Describe Yourself: Modern, Stylish Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great looking bag, with an unusual design and shoulder straps. BUT, it is so heavy that even though I REALLY wanted to keep it, I just could not. I think it might work well for carrying a laptop and a small amount of other stuff between classes or buildings. But, I would not see hauling this around in Europe with lots of walking.

By wyowalker from Moorcroft, WY on 06/22/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Identify, Good Capacity, High Quality, Looks very cool Best Uses: Solo journeys, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this bag. It's so much more than I expected for the price. Very sturdy materials, very well put together. The interior partitions and cotton fabric keep my clothes from sliding around and getting wrinkled. It's not important but it looks cool too, sort of an Indiana Jones thing. And it can take a beating-I'm really hard on gear. While canvas and leather are durable they do make this bag very heavy. I travel by car so it doesn't matter, but I wouldn't want to take it on a plane or carry it very far.
By Adventure Girl from Bend, OR on 06/19/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Neat Features Best Uses: Books, School, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-Oriented Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A very well made product that will make a nice carry-on for travel. Probably not practical for actual hiking. I ordered two, one for me, one as a gift. THE PLASTIC FASTENERS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED BACKWARD, WHICH IS WHY SOME FOLKS HAVE COMMENTED THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO TIGHTEN THE STRAPS...JUST UNBUCKLE, PULL THE PIECE OFF, AND TURN IT AROUND. ALL BETTER! Sierra Trading Post Responded on 06/19/2009
Thank you for your review. After evaluation of this backpack, it was determined that the fasteners may be installed incorrectly. Just remove the plastic fasteners, turn around and re-fasten, and then re-connect the straps.
