Great colour combination and style for the classic fashioned sweater. Everything is right about it, with nothing wrong... The last thing I need is another sweater, but I couldn't resist and I am delighted with the result...

I've bought a number of Barbour jackets [...]and hardly wear anything else. The sizing sometimes seems a little too generous, so try the next size down for some outerwear.

Classic design - the photo does not do it credit - the colour is slightly different and the pockets are not so prominent - a very good jacket.

Comments:
I'm a busty petite, so I found this trim styling doesn't make me look like the Michelin Man. I could roll back the sleeves showing off the cordouroy trim to fit my shorter arms. The many details cry "quality". It is light weight, but roomy enough for layers underneath -- more than adequate for temperate winters and springtime. I choose the apple green and constantly receive great comments on it. I love it!

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
No, it isn't warm-but it doesn't have to be, since it is wind and waterproof. It is a layering jacket, like a high performance shell. With a sweater or vest underneath you are good to at least 30 degrees. Runs a bit small; I exchanged for a larger size for layering. The long sleeves are to roll and also snap for wind. I wear mine from the barn to the board room-its a great looking jacket that keeps out the elements. A hood would make it perfect.

Runs a little larger than some Barbour jackets, which is good/true to US sizes. VERY comfy and cozy and I have worn it in rain, sleet, and snow and it seems impervious-I've also worn it as a bathrobe around the house!

Barbour Classic Wool Sweater - Merino-Angora (For Women)

Not as expected.
By Beach GoddessVerified Reviewer from Washington, DC on 12/02/2007
Pros:
Warm
Cons:
Too Short Overall
Best Uses:
Cold Weather
Describe Yourself:
Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Trendy
Chest Size:
Feels too small
Sleeve Length:
Feels too short
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The fabric and color (Blue) were wonderful, but the body of the sweater was just too short. I wear a US Medium, so I got the size 14, and the bottom of the sweater hit my belly button! Otherwise, the sweater was the right size. I've returned this since I just can't wear it.
