Pamela Kline

Pamela Kline

Exquisite linens from Pamela Kline Traditions encompass exotic Belgian sheets, luxurious jacquard duvets, stonewashed matelasse coverlets and exquisite embroidered pillow shams. But the roots for Pamela Kline bedding started in a simpler place: the multi-colored scrap drawers of the Amish community. An antique dealer with a special love for quilts, Pamela Kline started her Traditions by Pamela Kline bedding company with an emphasis on antique homespun reproductions. More recently, she has branched out into more fanciful bedding designs, including sumptuous silken comforters, colorful duvet covers, vintage decorator pillows and fabrics of more international renown. Whether Pamela Kline is creating floral sheet sets or cotton jacquard duvets, her comforters, sheets, towels and pillows are masterfully designed and beautifully made to bring luxurious colors, patterns and textures to America’s bedrooms. Looking back over the history of her 30-year-old business, Kline muses, "I never knew that what I wanted to do was impossible, so I just went ahead and did it."

Comments:
Product description did not include thread count; customer service supplied after I called....320!! Not lightweight! This is a high, high quality cotton percale and I would call it a substantial midweight. I can see already that it will wear like iron (big dogs on the bed!). The color is a beautiful bright red, and the print is classic french country. It washes beautifully and is generously cut--fits my Faribault wool filled comforter beautifully. This is one of the most beautiful duvets I have seen.

Ordered this Duvet set after trying three others and returning them. This set is just the right size for my down comforter. The weight of the fabic is light enough that it doesn't add extra weight, and, is soft, but, feels like it will wear well. The color is a faded, or muted, red. And something that wasn't mentioned in the descripiton, it is reversible. The reverse side is a very light, almost white, ivory, with a small red floral design. Makes my large bedroom (22 X 18), look quite cozy.
