By Erik from Dallas, TX on 12/05/2008 Pros: Durable Sole, Good for Walking, Good Traction, Simple to Use, Well Ventilated Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been using these since June. Replaced a pair of Sidi Dominators with these. Ride at least 40 miles a week x-country. They fit great. Are comfortable and breath well. I was concerned about the closure system but after 6 months no problems and they are more adjustable than the Sidi ratchet-type system. Would highly recommend.
Good MTB shoe, great value By Sky High Grade from Bear valley, CA on 12/01/2008 Pros: Durable Sole, Good for Walking, Good Traction, Simple to Use, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Climbing, Everyday riding, Long-distance riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Upgraded from my old Diadora geko's. This shoe is much better. The fit is better(for an Italian shoe)yet people with wide feet would have a hard time with how narrow the shoe fits.
Almost no heel lift, shoe performs great on long hill climbs and is a decent walker if you have to get off and hike-a-bike.
Great value for this shoe.
Great comfort and support By Ohio Biker from Cleveland, OH on 11/19/2008 Pros: Durable Sole, Good Traction, Well Ventilated Best Uses: Everyday riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe is well constructed, my only concern is the release of the BOA System. It takes a bit of practice to get out of the shoe.
Northwave Grizzly MTB Shoes - SPD By Lynn from Snohomish, WA on 11/09/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for keeping the rain out.
By Zak from Laramie, WY on 10/13/2008 Pros: Good Closures, Good stiffness, Light weight, Well Ventilated Cons: Tightness in forefoot Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a fine shoe at a good price. Good stiffness translates to good power transfer. Very well ventilated so you don't get sweaty even on hot rides, yet it's not so airy that you can't survive a cold winter ride with the right socks. The fit is overall quite good, but a little tight in the forefoot area. This shouldn't be a bother for regular rides, but up around 50 miles or more it's downright painful if you don't have a perfect fit. The closures work well.

By Ponder from Bethesda, MD on 08/11/2008 Pros: Good for Walking, Simple to Use Best Uses: Everyday riding Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I find the Northwaves to be the most true to size cycling shoes for me. I normally wear a 12 regular shoe. In Sidi bike shoes I take a 47 but a Northwave 46 is perfect-plenty of toe room. The lacing system is great-simple and provides a great fit. Easy on and off. I wish all bike shoes used this system.
