Comfortable and attractive By UncleSteam from Green Bay, WI on 11/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Looks Great, Stable Cons: No Arch Support, Too Stiff Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these in October 09. I was extremely glad that I bought the wide width as the shoes feel narrow even for the wide size. They were stiff when I first put them on but after a few uses they have broken in nicely and are wonderful and very comfortable. These are all-day wearable. Others have complained about size but these were just perfect, other than width.
By littleboat from casc, ME on 11/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually have trouble with heel blisters and these shoes fit right from the start. I have small wide feet with narrow heels. I wear these shoes running on wooded trails.
By catmomma from eastern PA on 10/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I live about 2 miles from the Appalacian Trail in PA and starting trail running this past summer. I got these shoes because I want to continue running even though the weather is changing. They were stiff for the first couple of days, but felt fully broken in very quickly. Yesterday I wore them to run on the mountain for the first time. We have gotten a lot of rain lately, but I had no idea just how wet, muddy and slick conditions would be. There were actual creeks flowing down some of the trails! However, my feet stayed dry and comfortable and I had great traction. If I had been wearing regular running shoes, I would definitely have had to turn back. These shoes live up to there claims and are well worth the price!

My feet are very comfortable in the shoe.
Lightweight, comfortable and stylish By Steve from Wilmington,NC on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Looks Great Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have two pairs of these and they are one of my favorite shoes. They are lightweight, durable and have a laid back style. They are a loafer but they don't slip on and off too easily. Great shoe for casual wear in the cooler months - I wear them as boat shoes for fishing as well.
By DC from Springfield, IL on 10/27/2009 Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this shoe because of the Redwing name and the offering in wide width. I have problem feet and need to have a wide shoe with a wide toe-box and good support. This is not that shoe. There is little to no arch support built in and it runs narrow for the wide width it is suppose to be. Because of this, I had to return them today. I have other pairs of Red Wings that fit great with great support, but this shoe is not one of them. If you have average feet with good arches and are looking for a casual business shoe for kahkis or jeans, this would be a good choice.
By BudgetShopper from Seattle, WA on 10/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Looks Great Best Uses: Business Casual, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When I first got these shoes, I didn't realize how much they really do look like bowling shoes. The picture on STP website doesn't show behind the shoe to show the colored heel. But after wearing them for awhile, I'm really liking the new "bowler" style. I read an earlier review saying it was a half-size too small, so I ordered a size 9 instead of size 8.5 which in hindsight was a good idea. The comfort is decent, except there's absolutely no arch support which is something I need because I have severely flat feet. So if you have flat feet, you'll need to add some kind of special insole or look for another shoe. Also, you need to be careful when walking on slippery surfaces such as a freshly mopped tiled floor because the bottom part of the shoe has rivets and has terrible traction for slippery ground. This obviously is more for style than for function.
I've only worn these shoes for a week, so I don't know too much about the quality of the shoe. I haven't gotten them wet either to test how easily the water will soak through.
Other than that, it's a good, comfortable casual shoe. I have the green color pair, and I would buy another pair for brown.
By petunia periwinkle from montana on 10/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice, affordable trail running or light hiking shoe that hopefully will hold up in rainy weather--don't know yet. Shoe seems to run wide, and has extra room in the toe area. I wear a size 8 wide, and bought 8 1/2 medium, and they are a bit roomy for me up in front, but I will still keep them as its hard to find running shoes at a good price that have some extra width.
