By teacher from Port Orchard, Washington on 12/15/2008 Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well, my kids are getting bb guns for Christmas and I purchased this as a gift as well. We have not used it yet so I cannot comment on it's usability. I can say that it is very heavy; it appears to be made of some type of iron. It appears very durable. The spring mechanism looks to be very well designed. Wish I could say more...will know in about 10 days. I can repost at that time.
BuckBuster is GREAT for Field Dressing! By DobieJacksMama from Smith Mountain Lake, VA on 12/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade Cons: Can't Sharpen Lower Blade Best Uses: Field Dressing Deer Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my fiance' who is a whitetail fanatic. He really liked the weight and size of the BuckBuster- although I was not expecting it to be as large as it is. It's size prohibits you to be able to carry it in a front pocket, but will fit in a deep back pocket or a hunting bag, and it's easy to find. It makes Field Dressing a breeze! The round gut hook acts like a zipper, so smooth and WILL NOT puncture the guts! And the lower blade is GREAT for breaking bones to get to those hard to reach places & the "sweet meat"! The only con he could possibly see and commented on was that since the two blades were so close to each other, he thought it may be difficult to sharpen the lower blade. This product does come SHARP! So be careful when you are handling it. Happy Hunting!
By erin from rutland Vermont on 12/09/2008 Pros: Good Weight, Sharp Blade Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my father for christmas, he is a avid hunter who has everything, when I found this I had never seen anything like it! And the price was great too!!
By Jorge Grande from Granada Hills, CA on 12/03/2008 Pros: Improves Performance, Safe, Works Well Best Uses: Competitive, Fun Target Practice Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice resetting action. You do not have to call for a cease fire and run out to reset the targets. Shoot the four orange plates and with a .22 they stand up. Hitting the silver center target makes them all reset. Works really well. The most used plate did get a bit deformed after about 750 rounds. Nothing a hammer won't fix!
Tons of Fun!
Solidly Made Spinner Target By Moonshine455 from West Rutland, VT on 12/03/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Quality Welds, Works Well Cons: I wish stand was taller Best Uses: Pistol Rifle practice Describe Yourself: Experienced Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This unit works well in my practice range behind my house. An additional 8 - 10" of stand height would make it easier to use in a range field with 6 -10" of grass. Still, a pretty good practice target value for the price.
By Jorge Grande from Granada Hills, CA on 12/03/2008 Pros: Durable, Instant Feedback, Nice Audible Dinger, Works Well Best Uses: Fun Target Practice Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Rated for 9mm - .30-06 there is a wide range of loads that work with this target. It is really durable. The 9mm only took off the paint. No dents whatsoever. If you hit it with an underpowered cartridge it will not spin but rings nicely.
Terrific!
Product was not what I was expecting By Buck from San Antonio, TX on 12/01/2008 Cons: Poor Craftsmanship, Sheath button defective, Too heavy, Uncomfortable Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: [...] Button on sheath does not snap closed, its too short on leather. It is very heavy and can not imagine how some one could field dress a deer with this. Not happy I am returing this item.
As if the deer had zippers.... By Sulcotaylor from Monticello, NY on 12/01/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Breaking the Pelvis is as tough as the DVD suggests. Great buy; not a gimmicky gadget. I used it 1 day after arrival, dressed two does very quickly and easily. Watch the tip blade, it is sharp despite how it looks.
By tall trees from Ohio on 11/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Versatile Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Easy to use. If you want to see it used in a great instructional way then purchase Jack Brittinghams "Game Processing Basics" DVD. It only cost about ten dollars with shipping cost included. www.jackbrittingham.com[@]buckbuster knife.
By Gutpile from Suffolk, VA on 11/25/2008 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used this knife to field dress a large deer. The gut hook makes it easy to skin the animal. The weight of the blade and the haevy grip make it easy to open the rib cage.
