Not just a motorcylce jacket By Alice the Alaskan from Bush Alaska on 11/08/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Off-Road, Protection Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not only do I ride motorcycle, I also spend a ton of time on an ATV. This jacket is so verstile, I can wear it on my motorcycle, my ATV, and shake it off and wear it to work. I have gotten a ton of compliments from both men and women. Finally, it is a great feeling knowing that I am protected if I need to be.
By Liz from SD on 11/03/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable Best Uses: Protection, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this hopefully, even though others said it would fit only if I had gorilla shoulders ( I don't think I do), but it fits well. I wear a medium/8-10 in women's tops. The shoulders are impressive, because of the armor, but the jacket fits properly, all the armor sits where it should, and the jacket is long enough in the arms and back to fit when crouched over a bike. It's cool here already, so I might think it's hot come summer, but it's a good jacket for fall/spring.
Excellent product, great quality By Christian rider from Tasmania Australia on 11/01/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Comfortable, Great value for money, Looks great too, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Off-Road, Poor Weather, Protection, Racing, Short Rides, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket looks really good on, it has so many features I didn't know I was pleasantly surprised.
The fact that it can be used in our climate of either very hot or very cold is such a bonus.
Friends and family are in awe...
Great jacket for the price! By Roadmaster39 from Santa Clarita, CA on 10/29/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Long Rides, Street Riding Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket; espcially for the money. As others have noted, they run small.
Well made, good quality, very nice chaps By DoubleJ from NE Ohio a.k.a. "The Arctic North" on 10/27/2009 Pros: Belt loops, Plenty of extra length, Quality leather, Stylish, Tough, Zip pockets are great Cons: Waist a bit high, Waist a bit snug Best Uses: Long Rides, Looking cool, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice chaps that are well made and look good. Sizing for the Small is pretty good, however i prefer my chaps to sit lower on my waist closer to the beltline. Also, the waist/belt with snaps needs a bit more adjustment room and is a tad snug. There is plenty of length and this allows for a custom fit. Pockets and belt loops are so nice to have too.
By harley babe from Maine on 10/23/2009 Cons: Style sucks, Too square, Uncomfortable Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Take the leather and make other leather product's out of it. Style sucks and they're cut square.. Not worth the money unless you've got a square back side.
Absolutely the deal of the day! By Sara from NY from Antioch, CA on 10/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've paid a whole lot more for chaps I've liked a whole lot less. Can they protect me from the elements? You bet! Will they protect me from road rash? Let's hope I never find out, but my bet is they will. These are heavy weight leather without being cumbersome and the sizing is right on the money. I wear Levi 501 jeans 30/34 and these chaps (size small) look like they were designed to compliment the Levis. If you're debating on whether you should buy these or not, just get 'em, you'll be glad you did! Terrific value; top of the line materials, great workmanship and awesome design.
Trim, sturdy, practical, and handsome By ridentoot from central Indiana on 10/05/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Breathable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Poor Weather, Protection, Street Riding Motorsports: Everyday rider Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this jacket for commuting and cross-country travel by motorcycle or scooter.
It was warm enough on a 110 mile trip in mid 40° F. temps with electric vest and fleece jacket underneath. I had on leather pants and long underwear for the bottom half. Some matching (Maxwell?) pants would be nice later. Both of my bikes are fully faired.
It looks really sharp and trim; my wife really likes the looks.
It seems a bit stiff (it's new) compared to my 20 year old leather Hein Gericke Paris to Dakar jacket and not quite as roomy, especially in the upper arms and shoulders.I would say that it feels a little snug for its size, but part of that is its stiffness and armor, I think. I like not having to don a rain jacket if it starts raining while I'm riding.
By E. from Oregon on 09/25/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Protection, Racing Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is cut and fits like a Moto GP jacket, you can tell from the pictures. Sizing is (IMO) spot on (130 lbs, 5'6, 29-30 inch waist, ordered size small.)...I don't see how people can't zip it around their waste unless they have a huge waist and a gut. Snug around the shoulders and tapers around the waist stopping directly by the waistband of your pants. For me it looks and feels like it was tailored for for me.
In my book it's fantastic - VERY comfortable to ride it, armor lines up perfectly.
The only downside is the collar on the front gives a bit of chafe with my helmet strap...but that's probably a quirk of my helmet more than the jacket.
Good Protection, Good Looking By Painted Deer from Indy on 09/17/2009 Pros: Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish, Tough Best Uses: Long Rides, Protection, Street Riding Motorsports: Motorcycle Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very nice looking well designed with removable protection. However with all the added protection it fits tight. It isn't too small just tighter than one would think it would be.
