By K wolfe from NY,NY on 11/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I started by ordering the large (thinking it would be better to have room in the winter to layer). But the large was huge! The comments I read about the cut being boxy in the chest are right. There is alot of room there. So I returned it for the medium and I am very happy so far. I haven't worn it in heavy rain. But it keeps out the wind very well on runs. On drawback is a sticky zipper. I do like the jacket.
By FBS from Upstate NY on 11/09/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I should have been suspicious after reading the other reviews. No way would these pants fit a 38" waist/average height. They are very nice, and instead of returning them, I gave them to a tall, more slender son.
By Lyis from Salem, Oregon on 11/07/2009 Pros: Durable, Stylish, Warm, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the second one of these that I have purchased. My mother was out visiting from the east coast and loved this jacket -- amazing since we couldn't be more different! So I bought it for her for Christmas. What an incredible relief to have something that I know she will like this year!! The jacket is very warm, extremely well made with attention to detail, and very nice looking. We have the purple, which is very pretty. That said, the sizing does seem off. I normally wear a small, and a medium is just about right, but definitely couldn't get any smaller. The jacket is also longer than I normally wear, but since it is close-fitting, it doesn't hang and seem too long.

Minimilist jacket delivers as promised. By trailmate from Queensland. Australia on 11/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Extreme Conditions, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Luved my paclite rain pants, this jacked was bought to complete the set, I hike and paddle in steamy Qld, Australia where high breathability in torential downpours is a must. Luv the pocket/pit zip combo and lack of bulk around waist and hip when shleping the thrupak. Foldaway hood is a bit lumpy, the peak could handle some stiffening. My first Go-lite product...initial use looks very promising.
By G the Student Commuter from Syracuse, Ny on 11/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Wind protection Best Uses: Bike commuting, Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my bike commute. I wanted water resistance and zip pits. I love the velcro tabs on the wrists they are easy to adjust on the bike and keep wind out of my sleeves. The coat keeps me warm so far in 40-50 weather with only a t-shirt under it. I plan on using it all winter here in Syracuse and think it will stand up to the cold with no problem once I start layering. Also I should mention that the sleeves are a little long but work perfect for my long arms. My only complaint so far (in 2 weeks of wearing it) is that the zipper jammed on me last night. I got it fixed no problem but due to the water proofing tape(?) it isn't a coat you want to zip with out paying attention to what you are doing. Other than that it is great and I would buy another one.
awesome shoe, but uppers wear quickly By adventurer from Denver, CO on 11/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The material in the uppers of the toe cap wears out quickly!
LOUD fabric, sleeves way too long By climbing Laura from Boulder, CO on 11/04/2009 Pros: Flattering, Great Color, Stylish Cons: Fabric rustles loudly Describe Yourself: Athletic Length: Feels true to length Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Very disappointing piece from GoLite, in my opinion. GoLite is a company that makes serious hiker gear, but no serious hiker would wear this. The fabric is annoyingly loud, rustling every time you move a muscle. The sleeves are also far too long. I am 5'7 and 140 lbs. The medium fit fine if I were to wear a base layer underneath, but the sleeves dangled to the tips of my fingers! Another reviewer mentioned that you can roll the sleeves up - yes you can, but then you expose the wicking lining. Who wants a waterproof jacket with rolled-up cuffs that will catch the rain and wick water up into the sleeves? On the plus side, it's a very pretty color. If you want a pullover with a sporty look that will protect you from light rain, say at an outdoor concert or walking around town, this piece is probably okay. I sent it back.

Zion, IL on 11/02/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this jacket for my wife. Its the second one we've purchased. She's an avid runner and this jacket is just perfect for cold weather, and it's stylish enough for casual too.
