Geax Blade 200 MTB Tire - 26x2.0

Great for the soft stuff.
By deano from york county, maine on 11/24/2008
Pros:
No surprises
Cons:
Short tread life
Best Uses:
Mountain Bikes
Describe Yourself:
Avid Cyclist
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Have owned several sets of Blade 200's. Would buy again. Tread design does what it says: Grabs in the soft stuff and squirms unforgivably when if you use it on pavement. High roling resistance. Tread design sheds mud (and snow) easily. Even when used exclusively off-road, tread life is short as lugs are easily filed down by rocks, roots and hardpack soil.

Comments:
I commute to work in decent weather. About 5 miles one way. I normally buy cheap tires and I'm really not sure how to tell if it's a great tire, but so far, it works just like it's supposed to. Seems to be well made and high quality materials. I don't know if it makes a difference, but it is bi-directional: one way for soft terrain, one way for hard.

Geax Argo Tubeless MTB Tire - 26x2.0

Hard to put on rims
By B CoolVerified Reviewer from Freeport. IL on 08/01/2008
Best Uses:
Casual Trails, Cross Country, Free Riding, Single Track
Describe Yourself:
Competitive Cyclist
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I have been using these tires mostly on trails. They seem to grip quite well on all terrain thus far. They do not throw debris up in your face as some tires do. A draw back is that these tires are VERY difficult to put on the rims. I needed to have 2 guys wrangle them onto the rims at the bike shop...but once they are on they are excellent.

Great tire at a great price. Tubeless with great tread for mud, but holds it own in sand. Slim, so it rolls easy on hard-pack or the road.
