By Julia from Shaftsbury, VT on 03/15/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted to post an update, as we had a little problem with our new clock. I just noticed the other day that the glass is cracked on the bottom, and I'm certain that it wasn't when I unpacked it and hung it. It never fell off the wall. Our only conclusion is that the metal contracted during one of the deep cold spells this winter, as I hung it on an exterior facing wall, and when it shrank, it cracked the glass. The light has to catch it just right to notice it, so we can live with it like this. However, I would advise you not to hang the clock where it might get too cold.
Nice accessory - mediocre optics By Stuball from Reno, NV on 02/04/2009 Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nice "conversation piece". The design is neat and it looks good on a bookshelf or by a window. The tripod is useless unless you happen to have it sitting on a surface near eye level.
It works, but the image is not very sharp and the magnification is not very powerful.
This may be considered a cheap spy glass or a somewhat pricey decoration.
By Steve from Marietta, GA on 01/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Brass & porcelain--this is not a cheap clock. Elegant and classic. Looks and runs great.

By Jules from Shaftsbury, VT on 01/02/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Easy To Clean, Easy To Install Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This clock is very solid. It was easy to hang and looks great on the wall. The numbers are large enough to easily read from 20+ feet. This would make a great wedding gift!

The picture isn't close up enough to see how intricate the designs on the maps are. One of the maps is of the constellations, and the other is of the world. I bought this for my boyfriend who is very particular about his quality of furniture and decorations, and he loved it. I would definately suggest you get this item.
Not what we envisioned for a telescope By Bruce from Beaufort, SC on 12/15/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Cons: Entire unit too small, Eye piece is too small to, No clear focus Describe Yourself: Midrange Shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was unable to visualize anything clearly. The eye viewing end is too small especially for a young child. Not what was envisioned for a telescope classification
By ag teacher from illinois on 12/14/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Easy To Assemble Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a new baby gift for my brother the sailor. I'm sure all the incoming booties, stuffed animals, blankies, and diaper bags don't really excite him but this is reminiscent of the little wooden sailboats and Pinewood derby cars he played with as a kid. I'm sure he'll enjoy putting it together and customizing it for his new little sailorette's nursery(that has a view of the Gulf!).
