By Seednut from Fairbanks, AK on 05/28/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these things! I wore them most of the winter walking 1 mile total to work and back in Fairbanks, Alaska. Wires wore through just before end of winter (about 5 months) and rubber was soon to follow. Won't punch holes in vinyl flooring or harm carpet. Very slick on hard vinyl or tile, but no problem on cement. Goes up and down metal grill type stairs with no problem.
Sizing listed runs small, and your winter boots may be larger. Just wish they lasted longer. Will purchase these again and again.

By Joanie from Stockton, NJ on 04/17/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used these this past 2 winters and just bought more on sale for the family. By doglady from Cuyahoga Falls OH on 04/05/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these for walking my dogs on icy sidewalks. I've lost count of the number of pair I've owned. They're comfortable to walk on, and they work. The only con is that they don't wear well. First, the metal coils start to come loose, but they can be twisted back on. A few weeks later, the rubber heel breaks, and it's time for a new pair. They're worth full price. The only reason I won't give them five stars is because they generally don't last an entire winter.
By Griff from Afton, WY on 04/05/2009 Best Uses: icy conditions, Outdoor Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my wife for running on the snow and ice covered roads of Western Wyoming. She likes them, but would have preferred the Pro version with the top strap. These might be better suited to walking.
