By NettoSpaghetto from Chicago, IL on 03/04/2008 Best Uses: icy conditions, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Chicago winter of 2008 has been horrendous. After falling on the ice and severely twisting my ankle, I bought some Yaktrax on a friend's rec. They've already paid from themselves. I feel confident walking on icy city streets. I don't slip and slide on hidden ice. They're easy to put on and take off, and store conveniently in the included pouch. Highly recommended.

By Fran from Minnesota on 03/03/2008 Pros: A real safety protection, Comfortable, Durable, Perfect for older people, Simple Best Uses: Navigating icy terrain, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have had two knee replacements, and am not always steady while walking -- particularly on slippery surfaces (i.e., winter sidewalks). YakTrax have eliminated that fear. Also, they are compact and easy to take along and keep in the car. Would hate to be without them. Have given them as gifts to others in this northern climate.
WORKS WELL FOR DAY HIKING IN NORTHEAST By DRC from western, MA. on 03/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Simple Cons: REPLACE EVERY 2 YEARS Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Do not leave on boots or sneakers after use, this will give longer life of trax. This is my 4 pair and is used for winter day hiking with a day pack sometimes 10 plus lbs. or more. I have noticed as they begin to wear out you will notice them coming off the boot more often and a new pair is a safe bet. Do not buy the clear because you won't notice it as easily on the snow when you turn back to find. Also a strap of velcro across the top placed as the YAKTRAX PRO MODEL will get you by till you see a sale. I buy two pairs the same bright color and If
I happened to blow out one I have an extra foot ready. Love this product and will continue to use...

They actually give you confidence on the sheerest of ice!
When I go to the Colorado mountain towns, the sidewalks are littered with Yaktrax trails - they work!
