By NM Mountain woman from NM on 11/13/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket is this great color, but the inside of the collar is black. The collar does not stand up well so you have this black collar sticking out like a sore thumb against that beautiful blue. Not for me.
By Ezzie from LA, NM on 11/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a longish, goretex shell for snow shoeing and cross country skiing...this is it! It's an attractive, muted grey/blue. Nice fit. Hood's a little skimpy around the cheeks and nose/mouth area..but the draw cord in the fore head region is great. Good deal!
By syl from upstate NY on 11/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just what I was looking for: a waterproof shell that doesn't fit like a big plastic bag, but still allows room for layers, and is longer than hip-length. I'm 5' 5", 120 pounds with long arms and broad shoulders, and the small is fine, and even allows for a fairly heavy fleece. I'm looking forward to using it snowshoeing, and just walking to work in bad weather.
By ecogirl22 from DC on 11/10/2009 Best Uses: 3 Season Camping, Backpacking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very excited about this bag. With the compression sac is still comes in at 1lb 13 oz for a 23 degree syn bag that's awesome! Obviously its a small bag as its made for youths up to 4'11". I am a 5'4" woman 115lbs and its definitely snug in there. The draw cord just fits around my neck so its a perfect fit--much more then a half bag! But wow after 30 seconds in there it was too hot to handle. Excited to see how it performs as I'm a cold sleeper and inevitably find bag ratings far too liberal.

nicely made - long enough By the practical mom from seattle, wa on 11/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a nicely designed and constructed jacket that is lightweight yet warm. Fits too tightly to layer underneath but is very comfortable for stepping out for shopping or errands on cooler/windy days.
By Biscuit Wheels from Buckeye State on 11/06/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Maybe I am a little spoiled by The North Face products but I would say this is a little thin. It is still lovely with nice construction and the grape color is really attractive and feminine. I do find the sleeves a tad short but I have long arms. Pretty fitted but okay. Probably wouldn't order a second one but probably wouldn't spend the money to return it either.
