By helenemotyka[@] from Sussex County, NJ on 09/26/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This skirt is a disaster for a short person. You really need to be tall and thin for this one. As all of Lafayette 148 clothing it is well made of first class material. However it really looks like a cheap dumpy skirt when you take it out of the box and when I tried it on. Looks much nicer in the picture. This is the one article this company makes that I found to be big for size.
By exercisejunkienomore from Sussex County, NJ on 09/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Color, Nice Fabric Best Uses: Night Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am keeping the skirt this time. Previously sent it back because there is something about the skirt that looks tinsely compared to the matching jacket I have. As all of Lafayette 148 clothing it is very high quality material and workmanship. Happy to have a high class suit for whenever at these prices. As all good clothing, it runs very true to size.
By Chic science geek from Los Angeles on 09/24/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Flattering, Nice Fabric Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This skirt fits very well, length falls at knees, and has subtle print, making it well-suited for work but flattering enough for evening wear. The fabric is thin but being a wool blend this helps to prevent it from becoming too hot or heavy. Keeps it shape, does not wrinkle, and is good for travel.
By dj from Tennessee on 09/24/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Conservative, High-end shopper, Sexy, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I prefer a more tailored fit, but this is a beautiful blouse for someone wanting a looser fitting dressy blouse. The cuff at the end is a very nice touch.
By classy professional from boston, ma on 09/18/2009 Best Uses: Office, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, High-end shopper Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket/skirt combination make a lovely business suit, and a nice alternative to stark black. It seems true to size. The one button styling may work better (when buttoned) for women with chest sizes A-C. I had not noticed the cuffs in the original pictures, so those were a surprise, albeit pleasant. The cost is a bit on the higher side of what I like to pay for suit jackets, but it is a nice wool/silk blend and has a great matching skirt.
By classy professional from boston, ma on 09/18/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Flattering, Nice Fabric Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This fits like a typical pencil skirt, which I love. I'm not sure I would have called the color "teal", though. The picture is reasonably accurate with regards to color: more of a blue/gray. Overall, a very nice skirt.
By willing to try from Oakland, CA on 09/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, High Quality Material Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautiful styling. The fabric is very soft and shiny - when I tried it on, my husband asked, "Is it pajamas or a shirt?" Sadly I returned it because the aquamarine color is not right for my skin tone, and the coral color was not available in my size.
By Band Mom from Charlotte, NC on 09/16/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality Material, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish, Trendy Chest Size: Feels true to size Neck Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautiful soft knit fabric, well made. Still pricey even at Sierra cost, but "talks."
GREAT LABEL, ALWAYS GREAT FABRICS By SHOP-TILYOU DROP from Dayton, OH on 09/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Quality Material Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Classic Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Every thing I've bought made by this label has been outstanding. Fabrics are top notch, ditto construction.
By Multi-tasking Suburban Mom from Lexington, MA on 09/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Stylish Best Uses: Night Out, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic, Eclectic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The construction, fit and fabric say quality through and through. The wool fabric is smooth, breathable and of a somewhat heathered color. I was hoping to match some dark blue bazers but it contrasts instead so I'm keeping it anyway. I wish it were washable wool. Otherwise though, the pants look like a million bucks.
