Gun socks have place in hunter's gear. By fantom from Wishing I was on a float plane in Alaska on 10/11/2009 Pros: Slipon-off stores easily Best Uses: Rifles, Shotguns Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Gun socks could be considered half-way houses; provides satisfactory protection between hard case and soft padded cases when those degrees of protection aren't necessary such as moving between hunting sites, or where the hard/soft cases are too bulky/heavy, e.g., small bush planes into the wilderness hunting areas where both space and weight are often restricted.
By MG from Atlanta, GA on 09/29/2009 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Easy To Identify, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not full sized carry on, but sturdy and nice looking
By beech_one from GA on 09/29/2009 Pros: Nice Brushes, Quality Brass Connectors Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The kit contains good quality components. The rod screws up tight and is a good length. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the rod, when fully assembled is not perfectly straight. This doesn't effect it's function, but it reminds me of a slightly warped pool cue when you roll it on a flat table. The the wire cleaning brush alone usually retails for the price of this entire kit. I bought two.
