By Girlfriend from USA on 03/29/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Good accent colors, Good Length, Soft Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like these scarves since most of my outfits are bland and monochromatic.
The blue/gold is very nice; hard to find these colors.
The pink/beige/gold is very pretty, as well.
Cool booklet with new ways to use scarves.
By none from USA on 03/27/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Heavier silk, Soft Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory Describe Yourself: Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great pamphlet shows unique ways to tie scarves.
Easy to follow. Nice scarves with lots of detail.
alook very expensive.
Looks like those selling for hundreds. By Gracie from Bay Area on 03/25/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Excellent value, Good Length, Good range in colors, Soft Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory, Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic, Very upscaleglobal Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am abroad frequently and one cannot touch this
type of designer scarf for less than a few hundred, U.S. dollars. The design is great and
will not go out of style. The color ranges should take one through their entire wardrobe.
A clever hand drawn scarf tying brochure is a very nice extra; well done! I bought about 8 of these in both the square and rectangle.
By Sybil from San Francisco, CA on 03/24/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Length, Larger than most squares, Soft Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory, Going Out Describe Yourself: Career, Classic, Trendy, Upscale Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Couture art/design quality...
I have a few of these scarves. Not included in description: the squares have buildings on them;
the opera, eiffel tower, notre dame, sacre couer.
The rectangles do not. I have been complimented on many, especially the black which is reminiscent of Herme. The squares are very ample which I like for using as a triangle over my back.
The artwork is executed with a beautiful hand and leaving appropriate amounts of field to balance the intricate scroll and floral borders. you
will find this type of design and design execution only in the finest establishments here and abroad.
The colors of the black scarf are exquisite, my favorite, but the "brown' is more an antique gold
brown. They go well with many, many outfits.
I love these scarves for travel, when I want to be comfortable, but need to present an appropriate image and not look too casual. They
are, additionally, great with suits, sweaters, coats, give jeans/tops a punch. They are not
typical, with the "paris" and "buildings". (Although the artwork is gorgeous, I would have preferred to not have these buildings.)
The greatest part is the design brochure which
illustrates several unique ways to tie scarves.
A couple show a cap-like feature. The brochure is very easy to follow and very well done.
Good purchase for dress or casual-silk...
By Gracie from Bay Area on 03/24/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Length, Soft Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory, Going Out Describe Yourself: "only the best", Career, Classic, Very upscale Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The rectangle does have "Paris" as shown, but these are the "great cities" collection scarves[...]. I believe these are all from the "Paris" collection in both square and rectangle. (enlarge)I have a few and find them to be beautifully designed (art work wise) The scrolls and florals are nicely done with excellent balance (very intense work and design-whew!) The scarves in crepe give a lightweight/airy illusion. You cannotfind such intensity and intricacy in design at this price anywhere!!!!!!The brochure is very good to have and I have found the directions/illustrations for tying the scarves to be easy to follow-nice extra! If you like silk, are classic or trendy and want to add a bit of something extra to any outfit,go for it.
Great cities=Paris collection By Love expensive stuff. from Western on 03/24/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Length, Silk, Soft Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory Describe Yourself: Classic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: You may still be able to see these on Ann McAlpin website; google it. It shows them in several different forms. The color combinations are very pretty.
A lot of work went into these...look like $200.
plus scarves. Not for teens.
By Barb from Camden, NY on 01/24/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Length, Soft Best Uses: As A Fashion Accessory Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, High-end shopper Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I chose the Paris scarf, in hues of black and gold with a dark tan border. It's appropriate for a business suit or to accent a black dress for a conservative occasion. Because I couldn't see the entire image online, I was disappointed that the scarf had "Paris" as a border motif, while the rest of the design was similar to a drapery floral. Quite matronly; very disappointing style-wise.
