Awesome Tires at an Awesome price! By E.T. from Lake Oswego, Oregon on 09/17/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Bikes Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Rubino Pro is a great tire that always delivers. I use them for 3-season road training as well as all training races through the spring and summer. They are very durable for the weight/performance and I get good mileage out of them.
By JakeKSJayhawk from Overland Park, KS on 08/03/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Bikes, Weekly Group Rides Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very Good Tire for the Price. This Vittora Tire was what I was looking for @ 1/2 the retail price @ local Bike Shop. I purchased 2 for the Price of 1.
you won't beat this tire [...] By roubaix rider from rural texas on 08/01/2009 Pros: Less than 230 gr, Lightweight Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Bikes Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought several of these last week, put about 300 mi, good rolling resistance, good cornering, smooth ride @ 120 lbs pressure. I have used conti gp 4000 and miche pro race 2 my last two sets of training tires and these feel just about as good. Took them to the bike shop and had them weighed @ 228 gr. Installed easy on my rol's and like a dream on my buddies Open Pros. If these last they will be great.
By 2Merckx from Tacoma, WA on 07/31/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great tires--smooth ride, great cornering--the next best thing to tubulars.
By NYC biker from NYC on 07/23/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Fine if you're running the slick side, but try reversing it and getting it to mount on your rim--the bead does not hold at all. Also the tires shed all over my rims leaving black sooty stuff that impedes brake performance.
By CYCLER from SPOKANE, WA on 07/23/2009 Pros: Easy to Use, GREAT RIDE QUALITY, Lightweight Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Bikes Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: USE THESE TIRES FOR EVERYDAY USE. THE RIDE IS SO GOOD IT'S HARD NOT TO. MILEAGE IS NOT THE BEST BUT WORTH THE LITTLE EXTRA EXPENSE. I'VE RIDDEN MANY BRANDS OVER THE YEARS AND NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS RIDE IN A CLINCHER.
By MR. SPEED from WILLIAMSBURG , VA on 07/21/2009 Pros: Durable, Fast - great for track, Lightweight Cons: HARD TO FIND AT STORES Describe Yourself: Collegiate/Pro Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: GREAT BIKE TIRE - REALLY CLINGS TO CORNERS
By 350 miles per week from NC on 07/13/2009 Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Bikes Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I found the Vittorias no trouble to install and so far (400 miles) they seem great. I usually run Michelin Racing 3. These run a little smoother maybe and seem, from looking at the surface, to pick up fewer tiny cuts. They're not as sticky to the touch as the Michelins, but I notice no difference in cornering or feel. I like the all-black look. They come in simple boxes with two little decals.
Good (dry) performance for the price By ABD_Civilian from Villa Park, IL on 07/07/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Nice road feel Best Uses: Long Rides, Road Bikes Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great performance for the price (so far). A little hard to mount initially (Hutchinson the best), but supple ride is nothing like the other tires I've tried except maybe the early Specialized All-Condition Pros (without Kevlar) and Hutchinson Fusion Comp (too many punctures). It doesn't make that sucking sound like a few of the others that I've tried (Serfas & Specialized). Good on the corners, accelerates well, but not the best grip in the rain. I am hoping they will be as durable as my old Hutchinson Long Distance tires were, but I only have a couple hundred miles so far.
A great tire for training/ racing or By Barney from Philadelphia, PA on 07/05/2009 Pros: Good grip, Great road feel, Handles well, Lightweight, Versatile Cons: Lower puncture resistence, Not long wearing Best Uses: Long Rides, Racing, Road Bikes, Training Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These tires have a supple, predictable ride. They have good grip, but will wear faster because of it. They can be a bit of work to put on initially. Once they've been mounted, the kevlar bead stretches enough to make tube changes pretty easy. They are not puncture proof touring tires.
