Great gloves for backcountry skiing By Voi from Massachusetts on 10/12/2009 Pros: Durable, Good Grip, Snug Fit, Stylish, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's a great product. The only thing that it's missing in my opinion is lack of wrist loops/straps - the ones that will hold your glove attached to you even if you take it off your hand. I find this feature very useful for liftsa and in keeping me from loosing them... Fortunately there are small loops available to hook straps from your old pair to them. I'm used to a loose fit, so I had to get these in one size bigger then my usual choice. Otherwise it's a great pair of gloves!
By KitKat from New York, NY on 10/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor, Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good feel, very durable, a little time consuming to put on the first time, but easy once you get the hang of it. Feels slightly small but still fits so it's all good.
By RIPPAH from MAINE on 10/01/2009 Describe Yourself: Advanced Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these boards. I have dubbed them the "East Coast Ice Rockets". They allow you to rip and face melting speeds on the worst of the worst ... New England hard pack; which is more like glacial ice than snow. I love these skis, I love these skis, I love these skis. Images shared by: RIPPAHrippah Tags: Using Product

By jenni from tucson, az on 09/22/2009 Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Way too small of a fit; plan to order 2 sizes up. I honestly felt like it was missized, but my friend said she tried on the same item at a local outdoor store and it was way too small there, too. she's a 4 and needed a We don't think it was a coincidence that they also had the item on closeout! Other than the fit, it's stylish, well constructed and would be a great harness... but do plan to order 2 sizes up!
By ColoradoClimber from Greeley/Colorado Springs, CO on 09/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Cons: A little hard to tighten, Double back not automatic Best Uses: Bouldering, Indoor, Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this product indoors, outdoors and for bouldering. It is very comfortable and doesn't ride up or down, is very solid and sturdy. Although it is a little hard to tighten for me, that would never stop me from getting it. Very good harness! By Bryan O'Roarke from Las Vegas, NV on 09/18/2009 Best Uses: Indoor, Long Climbs, Outdoor Describe Yourself: Avid Climber Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: FYI, This harness is Black Diamonds first version of the Momentum AL harness. This version has since been discontinued and was replaced with the current harness you will see in your local store. The easiest way to note the difference is by looking at the gear loops. The first version used a grey plastic/rubber type loop and the updated version uses a cording with clear plastic sheath around it. I have two of the current versions and purchased two of these discontinued versions as a backup. They are different and that is why this is such a low price, it's discontinued. The design is different, gear loops are different and these XL harnesses are SMALLER than the current XL harnesses you will see in the store. The updated version is a bit better in my opinion but at this price, it's not bad and can over look these differences, especially since it wont be my primary harness.
By Ryan D. from Washington, DC on 09/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just received these gloves last week, they seem to be made very well. I think they run a little small (just a little), but I can't wait to try them once the weather turns cold. Great price for Gore-Tex XCR, will evaluate actual performance this winter.

These are even better than the ones they replaced. Use them when tackling 14ers in Colorado.
