By K from Colorado on 10/28/2009 Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought these were uncomfortable (the stitching rubbed in a few places) and the shoes also feel flat and clunky, as if they were not well made (even though I know they are well made). I prefer more of a fitted fit. If you like roomy shoes, though, these would be fine.
By D from NC on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just got these shoes. Appear to be very sturdy and they look good. A true slip on... no struggling. I bought them to use as a slip-on work boot, but they look too nice. I'll have to put a little wear on them first.
By havenskye from europe on 10/24/2009 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I had a pair of blunnies that I had loved (long ago) and thought I would get another pair - these were beyond disappointing. First of all they fit huge - I normally take a 7.5-8 womens and I had to get a size 5 in these. The heel area was huge, was not snug like my former ones - there was no support, and felt like the interior was digging in my foot - most uncomfortable boots I ever tried on - the angle of the instep seemed off too, when I tried walking, they seemed to dig in - these were nothing like the ones I had purchased a few years ago, am sending these back.
Good boot for weather and looks By GQ from BKlyn NY on 10/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Well made sturdy Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather, Work Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took the advice of the other raters of this boot and ordered 1/2 size down and the 5.5 fit me. I usually wear wn's 8. I use and orthortic and these seem to fit well with a med. weight sock. I never know wntil I walk in the street, though. I wanted something to wear in bad weather that wasn't a high rubber boot; something I could leave on. These appear to fit the bill.
Blundstone 490 Series Boots By SC from ABQ, NM on 10/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are cool boots. The euro sizing had me a little off but the boots I got (5) seem fine (I'm a big 7). One thing to note is that the rubber thing on the toe is a lot less pronounced on the actual boot and they look a lot cooler in real life than in the pics.
By Waffles from Santa Barbara, CA on 10/23/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Foreign/US shoe size conversion is always iffy. This brand is no exception. The fact that shoes are unisex makes it even worse. Order half to full size down.
Otherwise, shoes are well made.
By skeety from quebec on 10/22/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Stylish, Warm Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels full size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: very comfortable, i do alot of walking so there is a little bit of a blister on the ball of foot. but that is to be expected see that they are new shoes not yet completely broken in.
bit big on the heel. so there is some movement when walking (flopping) like when wearing flip flops.
but overall very comfortable. if you have very narrow feet i would not recommend. they would always feel too big.
but, otherwise i think it was a great buy.
