Looks & feels great -- size off. By Bassman from Vermont on 06/30/2008 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Can't give full review. Wore around house and yard, left shoe too large, especially for the fact that I will be using in streams while fishing and not be wearing socks. [...]
34 Miles and 127 River crossings!!!!! By T. C. from Logan, NM on 06/25/2008 Pros: Dries Quickly, Durable, Easy On and Off, Good Traction, Nedds more ankle support Best Uses: River crossings on backpa Describe Yourself: Recreational Rider Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used the boots on a 34 mine backpacking trip that had 127 river crossings.
What was great was they dried quick and held up well under difficult terrain and were light.
The boot could have had a little better ankle support. But over all it performed better than I expected.
By R.K. from Baltimore on 06/16/2008 Pros: Easy On and Off, Good Traction Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I fly fish the Gunpowder River in Maryland and usually walk a mile or two on often muddy trails. These boots grip well on the trail (much better than my felt-soled boots) and do a decent job in the river too. Best of all they are much lighter and less bulky than my felt boots.

By Not used from Alexandria, VA on 06/04/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Well made Cons: Straps too narrow in fron Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a similar clog from the same maker I wear every day and like very much. It however has an adjustable strap
wading shoes-- have not yet tested. By Jack for Snook from Orlando, FL on 05/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have not actually taken these down to the fish camp, but tried them on, and really like the feel.
I wade away from my boat near the small islands off Chuckaluskee in SW Florida, so need shoes that grip, are lightweight and dry quickly.
These seem to be just the ticket.
By cravin' fishin' from Arkansas on 05/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Drains Quickly, Dries Easily, Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Freshwater Fishing, Stream fishing Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these for wading a local creek. They have good traction and drain quickly. The only downside is very small gravel pieces can get in. You may need a neoprene guard for the very top. Overall a fantastic stream wading shoe.
Best river shoe on the market By Ex. Jim the Runner from Auburn, CA on 05/08/2008 Pros: Dries Quickly, Easy On and Off, Effective gravel guard, Felt on the outsole, Good Traction Cons: Order 1 size down, Stupid lacing system Best Uses: Amphibious hiking, Creeking, Dorking around in a river, Kayaking, Wet wading Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are the best river shoe for kayaking, wet wading, and creeking that I've been able to find - and i've tried a bunch of others (sorry, they won't let me mention those junkers here). Anyway, the key here is the FELT!! Bottom line is that no rubber in existence gives good traction on wet, slimy river rock. No matter what retarded name they give the rubber, it just doesn't compare to felt. The felt on this shoe is in the right places to do some good (although I would take some more). The sole is sturdy and supportive (no watersock here) and the integrated neoprene gravel guard is a great feature. The elastic lacing system is pure stupidity - cut it off and replace with some old laces. Sizing is tricky too - i wear a size 12 in everything, and i wear size 11s in the Bite Portage - that's with 2mm neoprene socks. Anyway, these babies seem like winners. They've worked great for the first 2 weeks - if they fall apart soon i'll add another review.
Looking for inexpensive shoe here you go By OCFlyGuy from Ocean City MD on 05/07/2008 Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ok if you are looking for an inexpensive wading shoe for the salt. Only draw back is it doesn't get tight enough for my likeing. I worry about stepping in the marsh and losing it at times.
