But this robe fits fine. It even has 2 pairs of loops for the tie so that isn;t up around my ribs.

Turkish 53" one too, which is so extremely nice & thick & soft & pretty, so i can't help but compare here; this robe just felt too rough against the skin to me - not soft at all(but i did not wash it either, so I'm not sure if it would soften or not after washing, the 14 oz Turkish long robe was soft out of the pkg). It also felt a little too thin for my personal taste. Altogether, i have to say it really doesn't look or feel all that good, to me anyway. I had to return it. I ordered a spare of the other robe instead. [...]

I love the sleeve length, 3/4 lenght sleeves that don't get in the way while puttering around doing household chores. It is a bit large around the waist, lots of extra room, but easy to cinch in with the belt and doesn't take away from comfort. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone perpetually cold.
