By Molly from New Haven CT on 10/27/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Crystal buttons don't go at all with nice but casual wool. If it hadn't been so large (maybe because the size was mismarked) I would have kept it and changed the buttons.

By el from bay area CA on 08/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Stylish, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the sweater a lot but it has problems. It's nice wool, a bit stiff, but thick and warm, not as soft or thin as most other merino wools, but good quality. The crystal buttons are whimsical, pretty, but come out of the holes a lot. I will have to sew them up a bit. For the sale price it was worth getting this sweater but I wouldn't buy it at full price. It's a cozy thing, a gorgeous color and I will get a lot out of it - and it will take me through, I think, many seasons.
By Kathi from Arizona on 08/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Quality, Warm Cons: Odd fit, Ugly buttons Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I normally wouldn't spend this much for a sweater ([$]) but I had high hopes for this one, so I went ahead and purchased it.Pros: Quality made, absolutely beautiful color that would go with several outfits, I wanted a longer sweater so the length was perfect (I'm 5'6"), not too bulky but warm.Cons: The buttons are definitely NOT my style at all. They look like little disco balls! Pretty ugly imo. They can be removed and replaced with other buttons pretty easily if you want to spend the extra money. The sleeves definitely are a bit long but that didn't bother me- it's the fit. It just made me look lumpy. Let's just say it didn't do my figure any favors! Also, the belt is too short to tie and look neat. Needless to say, I will be returning the sweater with hopes that I'll find one I like better at Sierra Trading Post.

By TxTime from central texas on 06/24/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although this is not a warm cut, it is wool and is just about right for a Texas fall/winter. It would be good for spring or summer evenings in colder climates. I loved the retro look of the coat. The back is cuter than the front and is tapered in. It does have a slit up the back till the wide waist-band, but it hangs closed unless walking. My problem was that the arm hole openings were too small. I studied the shoulders and they seemed about right. I have broad shoulders of if the shoulders are a bit tight that is normal on me but usually the arm holes are fine. These felt a size small at least. Also, being only 5'3" the coat was a bit long. If that were the only problem I would have kept it and decided later about hemming but the sleeve-holes made me return it.
