Pros:
BPA Free, Good Capacity, Impact Resistant, Lightweight
Cons:
None
Best Uses:
Camping, Emergency Evacuation Bag, Hiking, River Trips
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
We now have 2 of these water purification bottles in our emergency evacuation bag. Although we are prepared to carry bottled water in the event of a hurricane/wildfire emergency evacuation, these bottles give us extra peace of mind to assure we can always have enough water. Our evacuation bag has to contain enough for 2 adult people & 3 large dogs. Two of these are perfect! Thankfully we've not needed to use them to date.

Comments:
I bought two of these for my fiance and I to use backpacking. I was worried about all of the negative comments, but we both love them and they don't seem to leak and it's not hard to get water out. It will be perfect for what we want. And with paying for the wedding, our honeymoon, school, insurance and all the other jazz that goes along with being married, it is a great price. We are too cheap to buy most things, and we don't want poo (cant use the c word). This water-bottle is the perfect solution. Not poo and not expensive. We are excited to use them this summer!

not bad for the price
By IHS from MAINE on 03/28/2009
Pros:
BPA Free, CHEAP purification
Cons:
Slow flow
Best Uses:
Camping, Hiking, Survival
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Cool design, nice size, bottle is light and easy to slip in a pack or webbing pouch. Filter works great, a little hard to get flowing. I could not pass water thru mine at all until i worked a toothpick into the sip nozzle, then it flows pretty good without much leaking. BOTTOM LINE: you can hardly buy a water bottle this cheap at all, not to mention one that could come in real handy when water sources are few and far between. DEF worth having, carry water in it, and if you need it, glad you paid the small price.

This is a great bottle for carrying on the river while fishing. No more hot water from a carried water supply. I just dip in the stream and have have cool fresh water to drink.

I'm Impressed
By Doug WilliamsVerified Reviewer from Raleigh, nc on 03/15/2009
Pros:
BPA Free, Unique Design
Best Uses:
Camping, Hiking, River Trips
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Only used this once, but no initial problems. Don't have to squeeze that hard to get water, but you pretty much need two hands. I imagine that the filter could get clogged quickly if you used murky water, so remember the coffee filters. really neat design, and for price/size/weight, a great way to get clean water in the backcountry. Now I just hope that it cleans out the baddies as advertised

Pure water for traveling

Pros:
Good Capacity, Impact Resistant
Cons:
Leaks
Best Uses:
Camping, Cycling, Everyday, Gym, Hiking, River Trips
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I use the Bota bottle for traveling and at work plus give them to my friends as a gift. It is reassuring to know that we are drinking pure water in such a polluted world. It is somewhat difficult to get the water through the filter and one has to work at it although it is worth the effort.

I still haven't mastered getting the water to flow easily, but there is a definite trick to it. For the price I'll keep it.
