Nice low tones - takes at least moderate wind to clang - good for those who get annoyed with the tinkly kind.

Woodstock Percussion Branch Doorbell - Brass and Aluminum

Works as a 'call to dinner bell' too.
By SnowbunnyVerified Reviewer from Vancouver Island, B.C. and Newcastle, WA on 07/09/2008
Pros:
Easy to Install, Nature design, Patina finish
Best Uses:
Small Homes
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Hunter, High-End Shopper, Practical, Stylish
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
We're using it as a bell to call them in for dinner. The sound is reaching across the garden and a good ways from the house. Very nice. It is a little hard to get it to swing from the end piece up to the bell...but worth it. Only need to get it to ding once and the sound carries.

Woodstock Orpheus Wind Chime with Aluminum Tubes

Love the sound
By Just call me Cookie from Buffalo, NY on 07/08/2008
Pros:
Attractive Design, Pleasant Chime, Sensitive To Breezes
Best Uses:
Front Yard
Describe Yourself:
Practical
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The bronze tubes and black strings are an unusual departure from the more common silver, but it works. The sound reverberates and the tone is clear. The overall length listed is from the hanging loop to the bottom of the pendulum (probably the wrong word, but you get the idea)so you can determine if your chosen space will accomodate these chimes.

This says 'Welcome to our home'
By Gnattily from Nashville, TN on 07/07/2008
Pros:
Aesthetic Appeal, Easy to Install, Pleasant Ring Tone
Best Uses:
Back door, Small Homes
Describe Yourself:
Bargain Hunter, Eclectic, Practical
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
We've put this at the back door where there was no doorbell, and it serves to let us know when someone comes to that entrance. The clear bell tone is pleasant to hear, and the item's unique look and mechanism make it an object of delight. It's a nice way to greet guests and set expectations for the aesthetic they can expect to find inside the house.

This Wind Chime has earned a special place on our covered porch. The sound is on the higher pitched side due to its smaller size. The sound is quite pleasing.
