Great price, great product By Craig from Bozeman, Montana on 06/20/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up Cons: Needs more stake loops Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
By Matt from Colorado on 06/20/2008 Cons: Cheap Materials, Collapses in light breeze, Flimsy Construction, No instructions, Unstable, Weak Poles Best Uses: None, Not suitable as a toy Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: What a disappointment. We were looking for an inexpensive tent for car camping. This tent barely made it out of the box without fabric tearing and poles breaking. When we set it up in the yard, it nearly fell over when a gentle breeze came through.
What can I say, you get what you pay for. I should have known better, but I'm suprised STP even carries products that are of such utterly low quality. The best thing about this product were the laughs we had joking about how ridiculous it would be to actually go camping with this tent.
Save yourself some frustration and buy a reputable brand name.
By Mr Paddington from Sabetha, KS on 06/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight Best Uses: Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It sets up really well and easy-our kids love just having it set up to take their naps in and play in it.
Not kidding, this is a big bag! By The Don from Baker City, OR on 05/29/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack Best Uses: Backpacking, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a big bag with lots of exterior compartments and mesh holders. Only thing I dont like is that the rain fly is stored right where your hydration bladders are. I would recommend this bag to those who plan to go for several days, not worth carrying if you only go for a night or two.
By Kass from Idaho on 05/26/2008 Cons: Difficult To Setup, Heavy, Poor Fly Design Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a comfortable tent that I could set up by myself. It took the help of a large man and two children to set it up. When I took the tent down, the central "hub" snapped down on my skull and knocked me off my feet. My 11 yr. old might have been seriously injured if I had let her do it.
By A Hiker from GA on 04/27/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Not necessarily a premier external frame. If you like external frames, though, this one does the tradition justice.
By teachergary from Modesto, CA on 04/23/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy to Pack, Strong Zippers Cons: Bulky, Too many compartments Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pack is HUGE. It's suitable for a multi-day trip, and I have problems filling it up! The feature I really like about it is that it has multiple entries into the main compartment-top, bottom sleeping bag compartment and a small side zipper half-way down that is really handy getting to things in the middle of the pack. I just wish it were a little more adjustable as it doesn't fit me quite right. Also I wish it had come with some form of instructions for adjusting. And, with so many compartments, I tend to lose things in it.
Excellent design, amazing deal. By TW from Spokane, WA on 04/23/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up, Fly Works Well, Sturdy Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: At the Oregon Star Party, if I want to enjoy the stars at night, I need to be comfortable during the day. This tent provides a daytime workspace completely sheltered from the sun and a separate sleeping area large enough for two cots and gear.
