Hydration pack does not work! By Jenn from San Pedro, Ca on 02/27/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was planning to use this product for day hikes with my boyfriend (i bought one for me and one for him. While the pack itself is neat, a little small for a taller person like myself, but the water hydration system does not work. There must be a leak or something in the system b/c when you suck on it only air comes out.
great day+ multi-use pack for sale price By refugee from Durango Colorado on 02/15/2009 Pros: Board straps multi-task, Comfortable, Easy To Refill, Firm fitting, Good basic dsesign, Good capacity, Great for sale price, Large Capacity, Stable Best Uses: Commuting, Day Trips, Extended Hikes, Minimalist overnight, Multi-tasking, Simple design, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We bought three of these packs. One each for girlfriend and daughter. Great deal for sale price. Fist pack I tested by loading it up on weight, putting my treadmill (it's winter) on 10% grade (steep trail) and did three uphill miles. Then wore pack around house with 18lbs. weight for four hours just to see how it felt. Surprised with comfort and design, so we got two more.
Material seemed sturdy and sufficient for pack design.
I like that it's a simple single main compartment.(includes top pocket in lid and two tiny micro gear pockets on hip pads-hydration compatible.) Also like that the stablizing snow board straps will allow for piling on load for multi-use, minimalist overnight, carrying a climbing rope, whatever overload you can imagine and carry.
By dddpsd from Seattle on 01/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Highly Adjustable, Stable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: very basic, well made pack
Poor Construction w/o Vents By Stinky from Del Mar, CA on 01/26/2009 Cons: Flimsy Construction, No vents Best Uses: Car Camping, Sauna Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Car camping. Price is the only thing positive about this tent. The tent bag ripped on the first pull. There is mesh on the inside that looks to be a vent but its not. There is no ventilation unless you leave the front(non vented) door open. If you are camping in mosquito areas beware.
By Lenners from Santa Fe, NM on 01/22/2009 Pros: Nice to carry skis snows Cons: Bladder NOT included Best Uses: Winter day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: first of all, this is not a hydration pack, but a hydration compatible pack (no bladder included).the pocket for the bladder is on the wrong sideof the pack, requiring an extension hose for most bladders. the waist loop buckle on my pack didnot work and had to be replaced. it cost me an additional $30 to make this pack functional.
By littlefrank from Puget Sound on 01/16/2009 Cons: Made for child or midget Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This back pack rests high on the back and appears to be made for a child or a midget. There is no way to adjust it to sit lower and the waist band ends up around your stomach. Instructions might help but there are none. As well, instructions or a description might help in identifying what the features are for. Example: there is some sort of rain fly or hood sewn into a pocket on the bottom. I assume I have to rip it out to use it. I have no idea what it is for or if I should tear the stitching out to use it.

You can fit in a snack, some small gear, a water bottle, etc.
By Lee from Rural Valley, PA on 01/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Refill Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great little pack for the price that you could use for day trip or even a one nighter with hydration bladder included in the deal.
Made for the snowboarding fanatic By Lee from Rural Vallley, PA on 01/12/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this for my snowboarding son and he loves it with all the compartments, adjustments and straps. It looks like you can even strap a snowboard on to it, but it wouldn't carry the big boards some teenagers ride these days. Could easily strap a bulky coat or other extra clothes on the back to accommodate changing weather conditions. Well made and well designed at a fraction of the price of the big name outdoor rec. outfits.
