By baby nut from Johnson City, TN on 11/16/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the bladder and valve are garbage, it leaks and the bite valve comes off easily. also the hole in the valve is so small you can not get a substantial amount of water to come out. the pack itself is ok, not the most comfortable but plenty of room.
Intelligent design by Backside By Stephani from Ctskill Mountains, New York on 11/10/2008 Pros: A place for eveything, Comfortable, Easy To Refill, Good Water Flow, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity, Stable Best Uses: Day Trips, Extended Hikes, Ideal in summer Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: While the ventilation back mesh panel is ideal for summer use, it was especially good during colder fall days to keep moisture from collecting on my back and chilling me when not moving.
By Swan from Albany, NY on 11/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good padding, Lightweight Best Uses: Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second Backside Girl. I keep one packed for Geocaching and one for "other" hikes. I use it as a pocketbook when I am going casual. It fits my water bottle as well as all the usual pocketbook stuff and I can slip a sweater on the outside also! And it isn't SO girlie that my grandson won't carry it occasionally too! I'm thinking about getting a third, just in case.
By Wes from Atlanta, GA on 11/07/2008 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, High Quality Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Did not keep because the main bag probably wouldn't fit in an overhead bin as a carry on. Would be great for checking at the airport or a week trip because you could potentially get a lot of stuff in the bag. The bag was well made with strong zippers and material. Backpack would be great for packing shoes or toiletries.
Questionable hydration compatibility By Lou from Brockport, NY on 09/25/2008 Cons: Not hydration compatible Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: There's no sleeve for a water bladder, and no port to send a tube through. It's just a simple fanny pack that should not be advertised as hydration compatible (my reason for purchasing it).
Get it all there in one bag By Rhino from Bermuda on 08/28/2008 Pros: Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: Family Trips, Long Vacations Describe Yourself: Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: 4 members in the family. 1 bag each. Right on the edge of 50lbs without stuffing. Wider than it is tall so they are very stable when rolling and stack very well on the trolley and in the back of the car.
Where is the Quality Control?? By Worried Camper from Gautier, MS on 08/21/2008 Cons: Heavy, Poor construction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the third tent we exchanged. The first had tears in the mesh and the walls. The second had a large tear in the floor. The third was missing one of the metal rings that is used to unlock the legs in order to fold it back up. I ended up disassembling the joint and used a metal ring from a keychain in place of the missing release ring. We decided not to exchange this one as the rest of the tent was in good condition and we were afraid of getting one with more defects. I do not fault Sierra Trading Post, as the defects described above are manufacturer defects. We are leaving on our camping trip soon and hope that everything works properly. [...]

By Lady likes to shop from WV on 08/02/2008 Pros: Easy To Access Items, Good Capacity, High Quality Best Uses: One bag holds everything, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Comfort-Oriented, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It wasn't as light as I had hoped. Too large for airline carry on, but can't say enough about how much it held. We were able to back enough for 2 adults for a full week of active springtime travel, including jackets. Price was excellent.
