By Zane Grey protege from Las Vegas, NV / Custer, SD on 03/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dry, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Wind resistant Cons: Needs oil often in Nevada, Sweaty in warm weather Best Uses: Blizzard conditions, Cold Weather, Thunderstorm, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love my duster! It worked well at 3:00 a.m. on the night of the infamous 2008 Custer SD 4th of July weekend thunderstorm that toppled several tents where the wind was at least 35-55 mph at times with drenching rain; I stayed dry and warm. Kept my jeans, body, and everything else dry. Kept me warm during a late 2007 winter blizzard in Wyoming in below zero weather. I wear it whenever I can, even in the city. Pockets are perfect, buttons easily, and does its job VERY well. Only problem I have is that it needs frequent oil treatments in dry climates, such as southern Nevada.
I'd say a good value ,for it's purpose. By Bladerunner from Northern Cal on 03/24/2009 Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The garment is a deal at STP prices, but the pockets need button flaps and slash handwarmer pockets behind those. The torso feels a little snug, even without heavy clothing or a sweater. The absence of a zipper front, is a negative to me. I'd rather not struggle with two layers of buttoned flaps. Does appear weather worthy, and is Aussie/Cowboy styled. Fashionwise, coat looks versatile enough for non-dressy urban wear. Overall, I'd say good value ,for it's purpose, but a little short on extras.

By Dougie from Cape Cod on 01/14/2009 Pros: Cool looking, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: No pocket snaps, Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Walking, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a 20 plusyearold Aussie coat that is 'retired' due to size & wear & I'll likely be buried in it.... I LOVE THAT COAT! This one is good but not as good..... I thought I was getting the same thing & this one isn't designed, cut, or made as well but it's still useful [better when I lose a few pounds] & essentially good....
By Duckfoot from Berkeley, CA on 01/05/2009 Pros: Durable, Keeps legs dry, Windproof Cons: Too many buttons straps Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted a raincoat that would keep me dry head to foot, and this does that. It isn't particularly warm, so if you wear it in cold weather you will need multiple thin warm layers underneath. It has lots of straps (some of which don't seem to do anything except get in the way) and buttons (some of which, especially those holding on the hood, come unbuttoned with very slight pulling). That said, it is a comfortable coat that keeps out the wind and rain and is durable with very little effort.
By World Traveler from W-S, NC on 01/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't worn it in the rain yet. Don't know how it'll perform. Otherwise a great purchase. Not really breathable because of the wax but I expected that.
