Brooks

Brooks

Focused entirely on the run, Brooks has designed high performance, technically advanced running shoes since 1914. Brooks started out by offering various platforms and widths to meet the specific biomechanical needs of runners to prevent injury-receiving praise from top runners and sports medicine professionals alike. Later Brooks responded to the needs of those whose running schedule wasn’t dictated by weather or seasons and developed a performance apparel product line suitable for any climate. Street or trail, day or night, snow or sun, Brooks provides shoes and apparel to keep you running longer.

Comments:
I am fairly large for a runner; 6', 200# and have been running for almost 30 years. The past 10 years or so in nothing but Glycerines. I have average feet, with a fairly high arch. These shoes provide good cushioning, they hold up pretty well, and provide good support for this 200# runner. Once I found the Glycerine, I knew I had finally found the right shoe for me! Bill

Comments:
I have been wearing Brooks Adrenaline for the past 5 years, and after a bout with IT band/patellar tendinitis and my doc suggested a stability shoe. Normally I would go to a running store and try some different shoes to find one that works, the Infiniti was offered at a crazy-good price here at STP, and this model was recommended for me through [...] shoe finder. It is similar to the Adrenaline in fit, except slightly (but noticeably) stiffer, providing extra support. They did need about 10-15 miles of "breaking in" for me, but once they did they were absolutely perfect for me, and haven't had any issues with my knee since. That being said, I would still reiterate the previous reviewer's recommendation that you get fitted for a shoe at a specialty running store FIRST (as I did five years ago) and find out which brand/model works best for you, THEN replace them at Sierra.

Comments:
I've worn then Brooks Adrenaline GTS for several years and quite frankly have not found a better shoe in which to train . As my arch/foot strike calls for a stability or cushioned shoe, I decided to give the defyance a try and was very pleased; not as much support as the GTS, but certainly enough for a mild over-pronator and sufficient cushioning as well.

Use product for walking and at gym. So far I am very pleased. I have a pair of the current model that does not fit as well as this shoe. Would have purchased a second pair of the Glycerin 6 but they were sold out of my size.

looks fairly well constructed, lightweight, material is very breathable. Haven't ran in them yet, but the insole is quite hard, hopefully after a few miles have been put on them they will be more comfortable.
