By Running in the cold in NYC from New York, NY on 11/12/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Stable Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the second pair of these shoes that I've had. The first pair I bought from a high-end running store after they took a video of my running gait and found that I had a mild over-pronation. After I started with these, I had much less soreness after running.
I run about 12-15 miles a week - mostly on the streets of NYC but also on the treadmill.
By Zuma from Bend, OR on 11/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Cool weather, Running, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is exactly what I was after. Lightweight but warm enough for fall runs or to wear under a jacket cross country skiing, and very breathable. I am 5'6" 120 lbs and the small is perfect. The cut is nice, somewhat roomy actually, but flattering. Sleeve length is good. If I HAD to name a negative point it would be no thumbholes/hand-covering possibilities or the fact that there are no small pockets. The thing I love most about it is that you can zip the neck all the way up and it is perfectly comfortable...not scratchy and not constrictive. I love it and wish there were more colors.
Brooks comes through yet again By brzrkr from Seattle on 11/11/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Just bought my 2nd & 3rd pair here By In Training from Atlanta, GA on 11/10/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Gym, Neutral Runner, Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm training for a marathon. I really like these shoes. They fit well, absorb shock well, and are comfortable. I got 600 miles out of my last pair. (I would recommend you replace yours a lot sooner. I was racking up the miles quickly and I just couldn't make it to the shoe store.)
I purchased my 1st pair at a local shoe store. (The shoe is now last year's model. It was rated very well by a national running magazine.) I replaced them with a pair of Mizuno's. The Mizuno's did not provide as good a cushion (ball of my foot) as the Brooks.
I was so pleased when I found them here on-line. For the price, I purchased 2 pairs.
Great shoes for a Neutral runner.
Tempted to buy a second pair By Sandi from South Portland, ME on 11/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flexible, Stable Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered half a size UP and they feel great. Only negative I can find is that they are a little hard to get on ... that is, the laces need to be opened one-by-one ... minor issue, though.
