By Tango dancer from Phoenix AZ on 11/03/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, High-end shopper, Practical, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I do not pay full price. This is why I shop Sierratradingpost. Price does not always guarantee the quality, so you need a clear idea of what quality means to you. My clothes last me years looking good even thought I use them all for work and play. Being a dancer and performer I have abused my clothes on stage for years.
This yarn-died 100% cottonshirt is going to last me years. I have already used it on a 12 hour hike, 3 hours up 7 hours across and 2 hours down. Usually I wear wicking clothes on hikes but this was March in Phoenix so chances of rain are slim and I do like the feel of cotton. A little tight underneath the shoulders in the back but the rest of the shirt gives enough. The body is a little short too, almost to the bottom of my bottom. I like my shirts to cover my bottom and front. So if you have a clear idea of what you demand of your equipment you can compromise if you have to. I am 5'8" 150 lbs. and wear between a 36 and 40 depending on make and ordered a small. Very happy with my choice.

Nice weave that makes this more of a "Territory Ahead"-type shirt. Looks great alone or under a long sleeve shirt.

By rm3 from Maryland on 10/29/2009 Cons: Hole in left front sleeve, Poor Construction Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Over all good quality at a great price except for defect in material which means having to deal with return/exchange... but what do you want for mail order.
By TWP from Bronxville, NY on 10/27/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fabric has a nice feel, drapes well. I got an extra large which was true to size width-wise, but should be a tad longer in the body. Roomy enough to wear over another shirt or light sweater

hopsack = ugly name for great fabric By rocktheboat from napa, ca on 10/26/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Flattering, High Quality Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a much deeper indigo (blue-black) color than pictured and just a beautiful shirt. It is heavier than most shirt fabrics, so, it would be great to throw on over a t-shirt, henley, and so on, like a jacket. The color is so rich it could easily be worn to dress up an otherwise casual look.
By Willi from Arlington MA on 10/26/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shirt feels like I have had it for years even when I first wore it
By Roamer from Central Oregon on 10/25/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, High Quality, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this because the price was low enough to serve as a work short, but it's very well made, nice soft material, fits well. So it has moved to the front of my closet for urban outings.
