The only downside is that they can be slipper on wood or tile floors. Maybe some non-skid things on the bottom would help
very nice slippers, warm and comfortable By jackie from CO on 06/17/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We like these slippers, everyone has some pairs. They are comfortable, warm and machine washable. After washing them you shouldn`t dry them in the dryer or on the sun. It will damage the rubber gummed sole.

By informed consumer from San Francisco, CA on 05/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Indoor walking around Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual, Frugal, Stylish, Trendy, Very practical Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These houseslippers stay on my feet and keep them cozy and warm while I am padding around the house. Since these are sturdy and well made from boiled wool entirely they are lightweight and so quiet on wood floors. Although they look kind of funny, almost generic, they have a charm to them as if these very style of slippers have been in use for generations. Some people might think they are ugly but I think they are cute but unassuming. I will be using these lovely slippers for a long time, I am sure.

really nice quality slippers By Mawrter from East Coast on 05/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Natural fabric, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Comfort, Home, Lounging Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Truly nice woolen slippers. I bought them in 2 sizes and would have gotten more if they were available in the right color/sizes. They fit nicely, stay on well, and keep children's feet warm but not sweaty (unlike the fleece alternatives). I hope STP will continue to offer these slippers.
NB: I didn't remark on durability because after a week, who can say for sure? They look like they should be, though - good thickness and correct-looking seams.
