The luck of the draw gave her a small head and the Corgi barrel-chest. So this very substantial coat looks a little silly on her. But I still tell her how beautiful she is. (Which she is, no matter what she wears!) I assume the shearling is very warm on her back, chest & upper abdomen, which is important for the below-zero days here. Easy on, easy off - no fumbling with her paws. Love that!

I was so disappointed to have to return it because of a sizing problem.
The coat measures 20 inches long, as advertised for size 20, but the coat was too small around the neck and chest. I couldn't fasten the velcro across the rib cage because the two pieces didn't reach one another.

The coat medium/large size fits tightly and the velcro keeps coming undone.

It was absurdly small - 12" from neck to back. Not even my smaller dog could fit his head through the opening. The leather quality was questionable - very thin and looks like it would rip in no time. I'm extremely disappointed that there was such an enormous discrepency between what is claimed and what arrived.

I had to go to the manufacturer's website to figure out what size to order since STP didn't have the sizing chart. Well, it was very misleading because it tells you to order according to length of dog from base of neck to tail. My toy poodle measures 12", so that's what I ordered. The coat did measure 12", the collar was an additional 3.5", and the neck opening was 14-15". It would have fit a Parsons terrier or a Westie, something in the 15-20+ pound range, not 5 pounds. I am hoping that the 8 will be a better fit. Otherwise, it is a very nice coat with a soft leather exterior. I love the D-ring because I can attach a leash to the coat, otherwise I have to fold the coat up to attach a leash to her harness.
