The "D" ring on the back is so handy for quickly attaching the leash, which is perfect for my super fuzzy pomapoo's neck (so hard to clip leash on thru all that fur!) and it's quite sturdy.[...]My 9 lb pup will fit in a 12 perfectly.

To me, it is perhaps more for a male dog in it's look, but really does not matter. Everyone that sees it loves it and it fits great I love how they cut this design, very comfortable on my dog and functional.

WE ARE TRAVELING RNS AND ARE CURRENTLY ON ASSIGNMENT IN SPOKANE WA WERE IT IS QUITE COLD, BELOW ZERO AND SNOWING MOST OF THE TIME SINCE WE ARRIVED. SAMSON STAYS WARM IN HIS NEW JACKET AND DOESN'T MIND WEARING IT. IT IS PRETTY EASY TO PUT ON; SLIP OVER HEAD AND BRING BOTTOM UP THROUGH LEGS TO VELCRO ON THE SIDES. THIS HAS BEEN A VERY ESSENTIAL ITEM FOR HIM AND FITS PRETTY WELL. IT COULD BE A BIT TIGHTER AROUND CHEST, HE TENDS TO PEE ON IT IF IT ISN'T SNUG. I WILL TAKE TO A SHOE REPAIR SHOP TO HAVE METAL EYELETS PLACED AT THE ENDS OF THE ATTACHMENT SO I CAN TIGHTEN AROUND BODY TO ENSURE IT STAYS SNUG WHILE HE IS OUT. I ALSO HAVE ROOM TO PUT A TIGHT SWEATER UNDER. KEEP IN MIND THAT HE IS FULL GROWN AND ONLY FOUR POUNDS. HE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO RETURNING TO HAWAII. WINTER IS TOO COLD IN SPOKANE FOR A 4LBS CHIHUAHUA. REALLY GLAD WE BOUGHT THIS COAT FOR SAMSON!!!

This is the best I've found so far. The trim around the armholes chafes a little bit on long walks, but it's well designed and well made otherwise.

This coat is well made and extremely light weight. Buttery soft shearling keeps the dog warm without adding any bulk. It was suggested to measure the dog from the neck to the tail and go down one or two sizes but I bought the the coat true to size to cover full body.

She took to it right away and seems to like it a lot. It's a tiny bed, and even a bigger cat might have trouble fitting in it, though.
