Good value, but some of 2nds are 3rds By lisamer from Los Angeles, CA on 02/03/2009 Pros: Durable, Nice quality cedar Best Uses: Preserving high-end shoes Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered six pair of these shoe trees. My chief complaint about them is the fact that the spring mechanism (which is essential in a shoe tree--it is what makes the shoe tree fill out your shoe with constant, even pressure, which is what enables the shoe tree to keep the shoe's shape) in each shoe tree is a little funky--it does not slide easily. I actually had to return one pair because one spring mechanism did not slide at all. That said, STP holds these out as 2nds, so the quality should not be expected to be top notch. Depending on where you purchase new shoe trees, you should expect to pay 2 to 3 times this price for nice ones. For me these are a good value and worth the downsides.

By minervasowl from Nashville, TN on 11/21/2008 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoe trees are an excellent value, working well with most of my shoes. True, they are not as adjustable as more expensive shoe trees nor are they likely to last as long. Even so, I expect to be using them for quite some time.

By JB from Houston, TX on 11/08/2008 Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Cool shoe trees. Cedar, well-made (in USA). The front block of wood is actually split in two down the middle right along the shaft, with small spring-loaded bars that push each half out toward the side of the shoe. This gives it a much more custom fit. For the price and quality I couldn't have done better.
