Burton

Burton

The history of Burton snowboard gear and clothing runs parallel to the history of snowboarding itself. In 1977, Jake Burton began hand-making snowboards in his spare time. A year later, Burton quit his full-time job and started what is widely considered to be the first snowboard factory, based in the living room of a small Vermont farm house. At the time, snowboarding wasn’t even considered a legitimate sport; but by 1982, Burton had convinced the Suicide Six Ski Resort to open its doors to these rebel riders, becoming the first resort in the U.S. to allow snowboarding. Burton has become the world’s leading manufacturer of snowboards and snowboarding gear (jackets, clothing and boots). Athletes sponsored by Burton, including snowboarder Shaun White, have won many medals in both the Winter Olympics and X-games wearing Burton jackets, pants and boots. Once you ride with Burton, you’ll never ride with anything else.

Comments:
Good for the price. It has so thin colorful lines that looks really cool maybe you aren't noticing it in the picture. It has a thin fabric although makes you feel warm. It's enough for me to wear it with just one inner layer in here Turkey. But you can feel bulky because of its baggy sizing.

Purchased these for my daughter who wears sz.0 but the XS was too snug and we had to move up to a SM. Still would recommend, particularly as a companion to a Burton jacket to get the full system effect!

A little long. Wish they had a little more fleece at contact points. Thought they were supposed to have in the knees but only waist/rear has the thin fleece lining. We'll see how they do in sub 20 degrees weather. Not sure I see the point in the belt loops if they are adjustable.

Best Uses:

Comments:
These are great. At first I was sketch about them because I wasn't sure how they would work and how tight I could get them with the latch and pull, but they work great, and they are comfortable. I feel like they are nice and secure without cutting off the circulation and having a discomfort. I can use this product if Im in the deep powder or if im doing a little freestyle. If I HAD to pick a con it would be that they are a little bulky but I like that, I dont want anything flimsy, and I wear a size 11 in womens so they are perfect.

Burton Mission Snowboard Bindings 07/08

Next mission: SNOW!
By Soccer Monster from Upstate NY on 11/14/2009
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
These bindings look awesome and although I've only tried them on with my boots (bindings not attached to board yet b/c they are a birthday gift) they have more adjustment settings than my previous bindings from solomon. My solomon bindings (also from STP years ago) were freezing up on me during the ride down the mtn. Sometimes my baby daddy had to undo the bindings for me! These burton ones seem like a higher quality ratcheting system with a very responsive release, adjustable lean at the heel, and little covers to keep snow from getting in areas that require a philips head.

[...]. The bindings are very good as a base level binding and at this price are simply outstanding. The only issue I have is the ladder straps, where one of the ridges sheared off first time I tightened them up. No big deal. Great Product Great Service.

Exceptionally well-constructed and useful piece of equipment with good seams, zippers and wheels. Extremely good value. Many compartments. Quite spacious, but if heavily loaded, it's a bit of a struggle to get a 15.4" laptop in and out at airports, etc. Bought a second one for my daughter.
