Burton

The history of Burton snowboard gear and clothing runs parallel to the history of snowboarding itself. In 1977, Jake Burton began hand-making snowboards in his spare time. A year later, Burton quit his full-time job and started what is widely considered to be the first snowboard factory, based in the living room of a small Vermont farm house. At the time, snowboarding wasn’t even considered a legitimate sport; but by 1982, Burton had convinced the Suicide Six Ski Resort to open its doors to these rebel riders, becoming the first resort in the U.S. to allow snowboarding. Burton has become the world’s leading manufacturer of snowboards and snowboarding gear (jackets, clothing and boots). Athletes sponsored by Burton, including snowboarder Shaun White, have won many medals in both the Winter Olympics and X-games wearing Burton jackets, pants and boots. Once you ride with Burton, you’ll never ride with anything else.

I've been searching for a 3 in 1 jacket for some time now. This jacket is great and comes at an awesome price. The zip in jacket has fetched me plenty of compliments at work. It feels waterproof and wind resistant just on its own. Also, the shell accomodates my very warm down vest (zips in just like the jacket that came with it). I'm just waiting for it to snow now!!!

Comments:
Great styling with the tone on tone blacks. I normally wear a large to XL size with a chest size of 44, but in this coat I definitely needed the XL. The shoulders in the large were too narrow for me. It's a great winter coat without bulk, it has a berber fleece lining in the body area, and thinsulate in the arms. Perfect for skiing or snowboarding, or just wearing out. The only thing it doesn't have is a hood, if that's your thing. I didn't, and think it's a great coat, especially at this price!

These are great pants. Looks good, well insulated. But the size listing is off. Order one size smaller. M size is more like a size 8-10.

jacket is as advertised very happy with it. Very warm breathable and pretty stylish, as said in first review it is a slightly bulky but willing 2 sacrifice some size for the warmth. I always wear XL jackets because of my heigth (6ft 1) but should have listened 2 the first review sleeves and over all length a pinch 2 big.. i would rate the coat a 4.5 if possible... not perfect but close

Looks more like a casual jacket than a snowboarding jacket. Runs very large for a Burton product, which typically run a size small.
