By Tank from MI on 10/21/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice jacket. I like that the fur collar is removeable. The pockets on the front are have double velco - one velcro on the flap and one on the inside of the pocket. I bought a medium size. I am 5'10" 160 lbs and the coat is a little big, but I like it.
By RA from West Virginia on 10/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an outstanding piece of Gore-Tex equipment. Fit and comfort are great along with the cooling effects of the pit zips. Price was 50% off. I'm glad I bought this jacket.
Fashionable not Functional By Looking for a ski jacket... from Rhode Island on 10/21/2009 Pros: Good Weight, Stylish Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Although this jacket is a very pretty color, the inside is made of a material that would not be comfortable if you were sweating. This jacket is a fashion piece and not a functional ski/snowboard jacket.
By Bri from Washington, DC on 10/20/2009 Pros: Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this to wear in the winter in DC. I was looking for a stylish jacket, that was not too bulky, but that was also functional (kept me warm and dry). I LOVE the way the jacket looks, so far, it's been pretty waterproof (water just beads right up). I've yet to test it against harsh cold, but in about 40 deg. weather I was comfortable. OH, and a major bonus, I am 6' tall and it was plenty long in the sleeves and waist! I was only disappointed in two things: 1) it said it came with a scarf and it didn't, and 2) it said that it had a teddybear lining, which I was assuming was fleecy and soft, but instead it was satin. Even though it's not what I was expecting, I actually really love the satin lining, makes for easy on and off in bulky layers. Let's hope it keeps me warm!
By aged adventurer from northern virginia on 10/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the jacket to walk my dog, long walks, in cold wet weather. Five days after the jacket arrived, we had an unusual weather event in the Washington DC area in October: 5 days of 40 degree highs and endless rain and wind. The jacket performed flawlessly, keeping me warm, dry, and very happy.
I would buy this jacket again By Just mom from Northern New Mexico four corners on 10/16/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Good Fit, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Haven't tried freezing conditions yet but I am sure it will hold up well
By cococakes from boston, ma on 10/15/2009 Pros: Good pockets, Soft, Warm Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is quite warm, soft and with practical placement of pockets. The coat runs narrow at the hips, so I'd recommend ordering up a size if you are not built like a 12 year old girl.
By Nature Lover from Santa Rosa, CA on 10/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this sweatshirt. It fits well, the fabric is great. I ordered a medium. I can wear small but in something like a sweatshirt I don't want it extra fitted. It works perfectly.
By perrochet from Sierra Nevada on 10/13/2009 Cons: Difficult Lacing System, Poor Construction, Poor Fit Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Sadly all snowboard boots seem to be made in China. The quality is poor, and the lacing "system" was designed by monkeys. It is nearly impossible to tuck in the laces while wearing gloves. Far more difficult than regular laces, and there is no good way to repair them when they break(and they will break).
While these are a size 14, they are slightly smaller than my 1995 size 13 made in USA burtons. My foot measures out at 12.5.
Unfortunatly for me this is the only firm all-mountain boot in my size.
Shame on you Jake Burton! Pay attention to quality.
By P-Squared from Bellingham, WA on 10/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Great fit, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Snow sports, snowboarding Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Looking awesome, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you are skinny, such as myself, then this is a great choice. I hate baggy gear. The slim-fit is in no way constricting, it is in fact still rather loose (I'm 5'11" and 155 lbs and got a small.) However, it's not nearly as loose as Burton's Sig-Fit or Baggy fit jackets. It isn't warm, but you're buying a coat without insulation, so you shouldn't be looking for warmth. It does cut the wind very well, as well as stop the water. Since it doesn't have 5 million extra crazy pockets \, like my last burton jacket did, it is quite light for its class. I surprised. It looks sick, too.
Bottom line, you should get this jacket.
