Sole is stiff but it will pay off on the track, feels like very food quality. Feel comfortable.

However the shank is too flexible (non-existent after a couple of days). Both the heel and toe box are about size EEE. For a person with a wide foot this is great. Very comfortable

The stability and traction was quite impressive uphill and down. Also the ankle part of the boot did not rub or irritate my ankle like some other low hiking boots have- Yeaaaaa! Kept my feet cool, very breathable. Overall great shoe! They are perfect for the dry, hot california hiking weather- they will be my JMT shoes this year.
