excellent boots for the price By the Dude from Eugene, OR on 11/02/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Stable Best Uses: Wet Weather, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these because I wanted a cheap spare pair of work boots. For being what was essentially an impulse buy, I am very satisfied with them. The most salient attribute of these boots is their comfort; unlike my old construction boots, I can put these on and forget I'm wearing them. They are light and comfortable enough for working, but walking as well, and I would not hesitate to go on a day hike with these on my feet, as they do feel quite like hiking boots on my feet.
As far as appearance goes, they look better than most work boots for street wear.
I did not check the "durable" box because it's too early to tell, but they seem like they will hold up fine for a couple of years. Of course, any sort of hard outdoor work chews up footwear no matter how well-made it is. Laces are a little cheap; swap them for a length of paracord if you want ones that won't break.
A good buy--get a pair of these if you don't need the absolute best.

By Roger from Charlotte, NC on 10/21/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The boots did not have a lace eye or hook in the transition from the foot laces to the ankle laces. This would cause gap-osis. They were too big so I sent them back. The vibram-like soles looked like they would dump you on your butt on wet linoleum.
