make sure you order 1/2 size smaller. By mattix from pinnacle n.c. on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a little let down with the sizing, not to hard to get over the 1/2 size to big.... The boots are comfortable. The price was great, [...]. The leather is thin, thats what hurts the most. I am an e.m.t. and these boots will not make it in my field of work. I will still buy from Sierra. I'm just really picky about boots for work. I put alot of trust in boots. Product is good for light work. Remember to order 1/2 size smaller.(for real)- I should have listened to the other comments about the sizing!
By Wildjuan from Loleta CA on 11/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am just breaking these boots in but they seem like they will work out well for me. I bought my normal size and although they felt a little tight at first, the thinsulate compresses soon after putting them on. I work on cold wet cement floors all day so these are a great winter boot. They have extra thick insulation which makes them a little heavy, an easy price to pay for warm feet!
By Barry S from Tullahoma Tn, Arnold Air Force Base on 11/09/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great Work Boots. Didn't require any break in. Having the right width available means a lot when wearing steel toe boots.
well padded heavy-duty outdoor boots By Dan from Long Island, NY on 11/07/2009 Pros: Durable, Stable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Boots are slightly smaller than expected and must get used to the padding which makes these boots definitely on the heavy side. They look like Paul Bunyan boots but expect to use them in snow/cold/wet NY winters. Seems like they'll hold up.
By nickname from location on 11/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good work boot for the money. A couple of speed laces would be nice- kinda slow to put on. Have good ankle and lateral support, but lack sufficient arch support. However, nothing that a good pair of insoles won't take care of. Great for what they are intended for- a work boot.
excellent boots for the price By the Dude from Eugene, OR on 11/02/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Stable Best Uses: Wet Weather, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got these because I wanted a cheap spare pair of work boots. For being what was essentially an impulse buy, I am very satisfied with them. The most salient attribute of these boots is their comfort; unlike my old construction boots, I can put these on and forget I'm wearing them. They are light and comfortable enough for working, but walking as well, and I would not hesitate to go on a day hike with these on my feet, as they do feel quite like hiking boots on my feet.
As far as appearance goes, they look better than most work boots for street wear.
I did not check the "durable" box because it's too early to tell, but they seem like they will hold up fine for a couple of years. Of course, any sort of hard outdoor work chews up footwear no matter how well-made it is. Laces are a little cheap; swap them for a length of paracord if you want ones that won't break.
A good buy--get a pair of these if you don't need the absolute best.

I would suggest that these boots might be better suited to colder weather in the North. These boots will probably make my feet sweat all Winter, But that's better than cold.
