Chippewa

Chippewa

More than a century ago Chippewa Boots had only one goal in mind – to produce the toughest, most durable logging boot in the camp. Using only the finest materials and craftsmanship, Chippewa Boots became the boot of choice for loggers from the Pacific Northwest to the piney swamps of the South. Today Chippewa Boots have added technically advanced features such as Body Cushion® insoles to protect feet from shocks… Thinsulate® insulation for lightweight warmth… and Vibram® soles for superior traction on any wet surface or rugged trail. Chippewa Boots offer steel-toe protection for construction sites, rugged good looks for bikers, even snake-resistant boots for hunting the plains. Chippewa Boots are as rugged as the land they walk.

Comments:
Boot is comfortable-USA made and comes wide(EEE) which is hard to find at a reasonable price. They stay dry and look pretty sharp. Construction is tough. I use them as a tractor trailer driver and they suit me well. I think with a heavy sock they will be suitable in the snow and cold.

Comments:
These are excellent boots made by an excellent company. They are made of tough, high grade leather with a tough, replaceable Vibram rubber sole. These are great for work or casual wear. The boot, by inherent design, has little ankle support; the sole makes it fairly stable, but don't expect them to provide much support if you have weak ankles. I also wish they had a steel toe, but the toe box is thick and stiff so it's not a deal breaker. Excellent boot at an excellent price!

I've been wearing Chippewa loggers every day for ten years, I love them. After break-in, they feel like slippers. The only issue with these boots, (I usually wear the nubuck ) is they run 1/2 size small. I had to return the 9 1/2w for 10w. [...]

There is too much of a lip on the inside edge of the steel toe, it rubs on the toe. But other than that, it seems to be a good boot, especially for the price!
