Chippewa

Chippewa

More than a century ago Chippewa Boots had only one goal in mind – to produce the toughest, most durable logging boot in the camp. Using only the finest materials and craftsmanship, Chippewa Boots became the boot of choice for loggers from the Pacific Northwest to the piney swamps of the South. Today Chippewa Boots have added technically advanced features such as Body Cushion® insoles to protect feet from shocks… Thinsulate® insulation for lightweight warmth… and Vibram® soles for superior traction on any wet surface or rugged trail. Chippewa Boots offer steel-toe protection for construction sites, rugged good looks for bikers, even snake-resistant boots for hunting the plains. Chippewa Boots are as rugged as the land they walk.

i normally wear a size 11.5 2E, On this boot there is not enough distance from the instep to the inside of heel to get my foot in it, it feels like my feet would fit once my heel was down in place, just to tight to get it there. Go up 1 size

Pros:
Comfortable, Stable
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Width:
Feels too narrow
Bottom Line:

Comments:
I usually wear a 13 or under. I had to return the 13 size and had to reorder the 14. The 13s were very snug mostly in the width. 14s are fine but will wear fluffier socks.

Comments:
Chose these as a neutral look for those business casual times when a western boot is too much. Also for motorcycling. My pair of Chippewa western wellingtons should have prepared me for the quality these boots ooze. The leather is thick and sturdy, but not at all stiff. Leather feel and quality is really beyond comparison, except for my other Chippewas. Boots were comfortable for walking right out of the box, with good support and insole. Leather lining is very soft. These boots will last a long time and are resolable. The sole is good for comfort but I wonder if it will wear quickly at the heel and toe since it's softer rubber or PU. Haven't seen wear in several weeks though. Initially, these boots are very hard to put on. My fit is good--plenty of room in front of the toes and not tight side to side, plus my low volume foot, suggests this is a feature of boots rather than the shape of my feet. They are hard to put on because the zipper in back allows Chippewa to cut the fit very snug over the instep. This makes them better for walking than any other pull-on boot, better than any roper boot I've worn. Keeps the heel down, no flopping while walking. However, this tight instep feels very tight at first, and I struggled to put them on for the first few days. This has eased, but don't be surprised.

like the boots. hard to find small workboots, much less w/ steel toe 8" tops speed laces,& a non lug sole.I'm happy to find such good Quality at a GOOD Price! To make them perfect they could be waterproof & the leather a bit thickeresp sides & toe. But I'd buy them again.

These are outstanding boots!! I even came back for a 2nd pair since STP gives me value for my dollars. I've worn these at the barn in snow, rain and very muddy conditions where I volunteer with horses & handicapped kids. My feet demand great fit, comfort and I got it. Outstanding quality in this product. Thanks for having them STP!!
