Chippewa

Chippewa

More than a century ago Chippewa Boots had only one goal in mind – to produce the toughest, most durable logging boot in the camp. Using only the finest materials and craftsmanship, Chippewa Boots became the boot of choice for loggers from the Pacific Northwest to the piney swamps of the South. Today Chippewa Boots have added technically advanced features such as Body Cushion® insoles to protect feet from shocks… Thinsulate® insulation for lightweight warmth… and Vibram® soles for superior traction on any wet surface or rugged trail. Chippewa Boots offer steel-toe protection for construction sites, rugged good looks for bikers, even snake-resistant boots for hunting the plains. Chippewa Boots are as rugged as the land they walk.

Comments:
Happy with my purchase. I sometimes buy size 7.5 b/c my feet are so wide, but these fit fine as 7W. Good sole and nicely constructed-- these should last me a few years or more. They don't get a five cause they are a cross between work boot and stylish hiking boot. I'm still looking for the perfect work boot for women and still waiting.

This is a tough / waterproof boot and it's well made. It's probably going to take a week to break them in because the leather is thick but I expect that when I buy a good leather boot.

Chippewa Warlock Pull-On Work Boots - Steel Toe (For Men)

Good Work Boot
By Comfort-StepperVerified Reviewer from Buffalo, NY. on 05/25/2009
Pros:
Breathes Well, Comfy with inserts, Durable, Stable
Cons:
Heavy as-per Heavy-Duty, Stains Easily, Stiff but in a good way
Best Uses:
Work
Describe Yourself:
Comfort-oriented
Sizing:
Feels full size too big
Width:
Feels true to width
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
These babies run big, which ain't so bad since they need inserts in order to be made more comfy & as well to avoid the steel crunching my toes.. They're Stiff too but that's generally preferable in a heavy-duty work boot & they're heavy too as one would expect in a heavy-duty, steel-toe work boot.. Being in blacktop & climbing all over dump trucks all day, they stain easily & unavoidably... I'd have preferred black.. The less aggressive sole, lack of water-proofing & lack of insulation precludes them being any good in winter but fit well for walking on fresh blacktop in the other three seasons of the year...

Comments:
These boots are a great deal. Because they are steel reinforced they are a bit stiff. I have not worn them enough to break them in. I did walk in them for almost 4 hours walking on uneven soft ground. I am not sure if I had the boots tied incorrectly or if I just need to break them in, but I had sore spots on my little toes and heels. They did not blister and as soon as I got the boots off the pain went away quickly. I believe that these boots should keep your feet safe. Just have to remember they are work boots and they are made to be more durable than comfortable.

It took me several tries to get the correct size but worth it. I normaly take a 8 or 8.5 and ended up with a 7D. Width may not be wide enough for some but they do come in E or EE. [...]
