By Yakman from Southern New England on 08/14/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's the perfect size. Nice and flat, dose not interfere with the stripping basket. It holds everything I need for a night of fishing.Carries large striper flies and plenty of them. Nothing to rust away in the salt water. Works great on the kayak and wade fishing. It's also a great deal for [$] You can not go wrong with this chest pack.

Well made - rugged - functional By P Freeze from NC on 08/06/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's importance is dependant on how highly you value your rod and reel.

By Bassin' on the Fly Rod from Boston, MA on 06/22/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I agree with the comments made previously, especially the tip to criss-cross straps. I use this pack all the time while float tubing. It easily holds plenty of flies of various sizes, 5-6 tippet spools. a knife, and spare leaders. The only thing I wish was built in would be a retractable zinger, but I've added my own. Highly recommended.
By Alan from San Francisco, CA. on 06/14/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Use, Functional Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This product is the right size and configuration. The padded straps make it comfortable to wear all day. I added a tippet caddy and a retractable zinger for hemostats To make it exactly what I wanted.
It's construction could be better. The zippers won't last, and the zingers should pull down, not up. But for the price it's an excellent chest pack.
By elderon from Plymouth, WI on 06/01/2008 Pros: Durable, Easy To Transport Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great 4-piece rod tube at an unbeatable price.
By abalone_girl from Arcata, CA on 05/31/2008 Pros: Designed for flat chests Cons: Difficult To Use, Storage is clumsy Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Comments: I am not built for this and it would not work well for other women with any size bust. It is uncomfortable and bulky and sits under my chin. The clips are VERY difficult to unclip and my husband had to undo them for me. I gave it to my husband after using it once. It is already starting to unravel at the edge of the front net pocket after only 3 uses
By ChrisP from Kentucky on 05/19/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall construction and design was good. It is a little larger than what I wanted - not that it is big, but was looking for something small and I am a small person (5'3") female - so it's sometimes it hard to find something small enough for my frame size.
I would recommend it however.
